As the Accounting Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire spectrum of financial accounting functions, from monthly and annual closures to intercompany reconciliations and stakeholder management. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining data integrity, adhering to global accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), and supporting both internal and external audits. Beyond financial management, you will lead a high-performing team, champion process improvements, and collaborate closely with cross-functional units to deliver actionable financial insights that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad range of strategic and operational duties, including:

• Financial Close & Reporting: Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements. Analyze variances against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods to provide data-driven recommendations for decision-making.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain robust oversight of general ledger activities, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Review critical reconciliations, including balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions, to mitigate risks and enhance financial transparency.
• Compliance & Controls: Uphold strict adherence to internal controls, corporate policies, and global accounting standards. Support internal and external audits by providing comprehensive documentation and fostering a governance framework that instills confidence in financial reporting.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and develop the R2R team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth. Allocate tasks strategically, monitor performance against SLAs, and empower your team to deliver exceptional results.
• Process Improvement & Transformation: Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains to streamline financial processes. Drive standardization and best practices across R2R operations, and actively participate in ERP or system implementations to future-proof accounting functions.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate seamlessly with FP&A, AP, AR, Tax, and business units to align financial strategies with broader organizational goals. Serve as the key point of contact for finance leadership, providing strategic insights and financial analysis to inform critical business decisions.
• Intercompany & Consolidation: Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations with meticulous attention to detail. Support group consolidation activities where applicable, ensuring seamless financial alignment across Otis ME entities.
