We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our Vaccine & Immune Therapy team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a scientific bridge between AstraZeneca and key external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, policymakers, researchers, and institutional leaders. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping evidence-based medical strategies, fostering scientific collaboration, and advancing the understanding of critical disease areas within Saudi Arabia’s evolving healthcare landscape.

Your Impact

As a field-based Medical Affairs professional, you will play a transformative role in the following key areas:

• Strategic Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs), including non-traditional stakeholders such as policymakers, payer groups, government officials, and researchers. Your ability to identify and prioritize these partnerships will drive meaningful progress in disease management and healthcare policy.
• Scientific Advocacy and Insight Generation: Conduct in-depth analyses of the local medical community, clinical practice trends, and healthcare provider (HCP) insights to identify gaps in scientific knowledge, patient care pathways, and unmet medical needs. Your findings will inform AstraZeneca’s medical and brand strategies, ensuring alignment with regional healthcare priorities.
• Evidence-Based Medical Advancement: Facilitate scientific discussions, presentations, and educational initiatives—both in group settings and one-on-one—to disseminate accurate, objective, and actionable clinical data. Engage with HCPs, researchers, and institutional leaders to promote evidence-based medical practices that enhance patient outcomes.
• Program Development and Execution: Design and implement scientific programs tailored to address unmet medical needs in priority disease areas. Collaborate with advisory boards, roundtable discussions, and continuing medical education (CME) events to foster knowledge exchange and drive practice change.
• Field-Based Leadership: Travel across assigned territories in Saudi Arabia to engage directly with healthcare stakeholders, clinical trial participants, and institutional leaders. Your fieldwork will be critical in mapping multidisciplinary teams, assessing account maturity, and identifying opportunities for collaboration in clinical trials, non-interventional studies, and investigator-sponsored research (ISS).
• Speaker and Faculty Development: Identify and train potential speakers for local and regional events, ensuring that AstraZeneca’s scientific narrative is effectively communicated to diverse audiences. Serve as a faculty member or facilitator for advisory board meetings, contributing to high-impact discussions on medical advancements.
• Strategic Recommendations: Provide data-driven recommendations for advisory board participants and facilitate evidence generation initiatives aligned with AstraZeneca’s medical strategy. Your strategic insights will help bridge gaps in healthcare delivery and support the adoption of innovative therapies.
