Key Responsibilities

At the heart of this role, you will:

• Design and refine NIT’s compliance framework, policies, and procedures to align with international best practices and regulatory expectations, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptability.
• Maintain an exhaustive register of all applicable laws, regulations, licenses, permits, and certifications, ensuring timely renewals and submissions to avoid operational disruptions.
• Conduct rigorous compliance assessments through audits, reviews, and monitoring activities to identify gaps, assess risks, and recommend actionable solutions that strengthen regulatory adherence.
• Develop and oversee compliance risk assessments and mitigation strategies, prioritizing high-risk areas and ensuring proactive measures are in place to address potential breaches.
• Stay ahead of regulatory changes by monitoring industry developments, communicating updates to stakeholders, and leading the implementation of necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
• Drive accountability by tracking compliance findings, action plans, and regulatory commitments, ensuring timely resolution and closure of all open items.
• Prepare comprehensive compliance reports and interactive dashboards for senior management and governance committees, providing clear, actionable insights into NIT’s compliance posture.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit and other assurance functions to enhance governance, risk management, and compliance oversight, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Escalate critical breaches and high-risk issues to senior leadership, ensuring swift intervention and resolution to protect NIT’s reputation and operational continuity.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Audit & Compliance Executive, providing strategic guidance on compliance matters and supporting reporting to executive committees.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this dynamic role, you will bring:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline, coupled with a professional certification in Compliance, Governance, Risk Management, or Audit (preferred).
• Six or more years of hands-on experience in Compliance, Governance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, or a closely related field, demonstrating a proven track record of driving regulatory adherence and risk mitigation.
• An in-depth understanding of compliance management frameworks, corporate governance principles, and regulatory monitoring practices, with expertise in assessing and reporting compliance risks.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to interpret complex regulations, identify systemic risks, and develop scalable solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to translate technical compliance requirements into clear, actionable guidance for cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, including financial, environmental, and operational compliance standards, tailored to NIT’s infrastructure and technology sector.
• Proficiency in reporting tools and documentation management systems, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating polished, data-driven deliverables.
