You will lead electrical design and construction activities, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards, contract obligations, and project timelines while fostering collaboration across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

As the **discipline lead for electrical works**, your responsibilities span design, coordination, and site execution, ensuring every phase aligns with program constraints, safety protocols, and operational efficiency. Your expertise will be instrumental in transforming complex electrical systems—including power distribution, lighting, ELV (Electrical Low Voltage), and infrastructure—into buildable, high-performance realities.

Core Accountabilities

• Design Excellence & Constructability
  - Lead the review and approval of electrical design deliverables, including drawings, 3D models, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submissions, ensuring adherence to contract requirements, codes, and regulatory standards.
  - Identify and resolve design clashes, constructability challenges, and interface risks across architectural, structural, mechanical, and other building systems.
  - Validate the buildability, safety, and operational viability of electrical installations while maintaining coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• On-Site Technical Leadership
  - Provide hands-on electrical engineering guidance during construction, addressing RFIs (Requests for Information), technical queries, and site-specific challenges with precision and efficiency.
  - Oversee electrical works—power systems, lighting, ELV, earthing, and containment—to verify compliance with approved designs and specifications.
  - Collaborate with project teams to resolve site deviations, non-conformances, and execution conflicts while supporting inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance processes.
• Shop Drawings & As-Built Management
  - Review and approve electrical shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements to ensure alignment with design intent and project standards.
  - Provide timely, coordinated technical feedback to accelerate approvals and maintain construction progress.
  - Oversee the preparation, review, and validation of as-built drawings and records, ensuring accurate documentation of final installations.
• Technical Problem-Solving & Compliance
  - Lead responses to RFIs, Technical Queries (TQs), and site clarifications, proposing practical, buildable solutions to technical challenges.
  - Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and quality issues, ensuring thorough investigation, reporting, and resolution.
  - Maintain meticulous records of technical decisions and communications to support transparency and accountability.
• Stakeholder Coordination & Program Alignment
  - Support the planning and monitoring of electrical design deliverables, ensuring adherence to project timelines and program requirements.
  - Act as the primary electrical discipline representative in client, consultant, and authority meetings, advocating for technical integrity and risk mitigation.
  - Escalate critical risks with actionable recommendations to senior management, ensuring proactive issue resolution.
• Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement
  - Contribute to lessons learned initiatives, sharing insights on electrical systems, constructability, and project delivery best practices.
  - Mentor junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and safety awareness.
  - Champion continuous improvement in electrical construction quality, innovation, and operational efficiency.
