Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of technical and leadership responsibilities, ensuring the successful execution of BIM-driven civil infrastructure projects:

• Advanced Civil BIM Modeling: Develop and maintain high-fidelity Civil 3D and Revit models for roads, highways, bridges, utilities, and site works, ensuring compliance with LOD 300–500 standards. Integrate survey data, alignments, corridors, profiles, and surfaces to create accurate, constructible models that align with engineering design intent.
• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Lead federated model coordination using Navisworks Manage and Autodesk Construction Cloud to identify, track, and resolve clashes across civil, structural, MEP, and landscape disciplines. Drive technical issues to resolution, maintaining comprehensive clash reports and coordination logs to ensure seamless project execution.
• BIM Standards and Quality Assurance: Champion the implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and ensure adherence to naming conventions, work-sharing protocols, and project-specific standards. Conduct rigorous model QA/QC, including coordinate validation, parameter checks, and data audits, while applying ISO 19650 principles and local regulatory requirements.
• Project Deliverables and Site Support: Produce model-based deliverables such as shop drawings, traffic diversion plans, quantity take-offs, earthwork volumes, and 4D sequencing information. Support as-built and record model development through redline integration and field verification, providing BIM-based technical support for construction sequencing, RFIs, and coordination meetings.
• Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior BIM modelers, technicians, and draftsmen, ensuring alignment with technical accuracy, constructability, and industry standards. Represent the Civil BIM function in high-stakes coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and clients, fostering collaboration with Architecture, Structural, MEP, and Landscape BIM leads.
• Data Management and FM Handover: Support COBie asset data population and validation for civil infrastructure assets, managing model versions, file structures, and publishing within the project’s Common Data Environment (CDE). Contribute to the development of BIM standards, templates, workflows, and reusable content libraries to enhance project efficiency and consistency.

Technical Expertise Required

To excel in this role, you must possess a robust technical skill set and a deep understanding of civil infrastructure BIM methodologies:

• Advanced Proficiency: Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, and Navisworks Manage, with hands-on experience in modeling roads, highways, bridges, utilities, grading, and site development.
• Survey and COGO Integration: Expertise in integrating survey data, alignments, profiles, corridors, and surfaces into cohesive BIM models.
• Federated Model Coordination: Proven ability to conduct clash detection, model audits, and federated coordination using Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• BIM Standards and Compliance: Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 principles, BIM Execution Plans, and local regulatory standards, including GCC-specific requirements.
• Data Management: Experience with CDE workflows, COBie, and FM handover processes to ensure seamless data continuity and asset management.
• Bonus Skills: Familiarity with Dynamo and Power BI is highly advantageous, offering additional tools to enhance modeling efficiency and data visualization.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related discipline and bring at least 12+ years of hands-on experience in BIM modeling and engineering for civil infrastructure projects. Preference will be given to those with:

• Proven experience on large-scale GCC projects, demonstrating expertise in roads, highways, bridges, wet utilities, and site infrastructure.
• Autodesk Certified Professional certification in Civil 3D, Revit, or Navisworks, validating your technical mastery.
• Awareness or certification in ISO 19650, ensuring alignment with global BIM standards and best practices.
• A track record of technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to drive project success.
