As we solidify our strategic footprint in the Middle East through our offices in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, we are seeking a Senior Wet Utilities Engineer to lead our wet utility systems design and execution in Riyadh. Your Impact

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the design, planning, and oversight of wet utility systems—encompassing potable water, wastewater/sewerage, irrigation, and fire protection networks—for large-scale infrastructure projects. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration of these critical systems while adhering to the highest standards of technical excellence and regulatory compliance. As a key stakeholder, you will collaborate across disciplines, mentor junior engineers, and liaise with clients, authorities, and stakeholders to deliver projects that exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and technical oversight of wet utility systems for infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and sustainability goals.
• Conduct and validate hydraulic modeling, network analysis, and pipe sizing using advanced software tools such as Civil 3D, WaterGEMS, and SewerGEMS to optimize system performance.
• Ensure all designs comply with local KSA regulations, international standards, and utility authority requirements, mitigating risks and ensuring operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to harmonize wet utility systems with broader infrastructure plans, including corridor design, crossings, and system interfaces.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, reports, and technical deliverables to support project execution and regulatory approvals.
• Review and provide technical guidance on designs prepared by junior engineers, designers, and BIM/CAD teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Act as a technical liaison between ARX, government authorities, clients, and external stakeholders to address project-specific challenges and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, nurturing a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.

Who You Are

We are looking for a seasoned professional with:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, complemented by a minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with a specialized focus on wet utilities.
• At least 3 years of direct experience in Saudi Arabia, demonstrating your ability to navigate local regulatory landscapes and industry dynamics.
• Proven expertise in the design, analysis, and construction of wet utility systems, including potable water, wastewater, irrigation, and fire protection networks.
• In-depth knowledge of KSA-specific codes, standards, and utility authority requirements, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
• Proficiency in industry-leading software tools such as Civil 3D, WaterGEMS, and SewerGEMS, with the ability to interpret and apply hydraulic modeling results effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with an added advantage if you are proficient in Arabic.
• A collaborative mindset, with strong leadership and mentorship skills to guide and inspire junior team members.
