As a **Fire Safety Engineer**, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership, including the Fire Safety Engineering Lead and Health & Safety Manager, to deliver technical excellence in fire protection systems, risk assessments, and compliance verification. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining a secure environment in alignment with **Saudi Civil Defense regulations**, the **Saudi Building Code (SBC)**, **NFPA standards**, and the **International Fire Code (IFC)**. This role demands precision, analytical rigor, and a deep understanding of fire safety engineering principles to mitigate risks and ensure audit-ready documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will span a broad spectrum of fire safety disciplines, including:

• Technical Reviews and Compliance Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of new construction projects, renovations, and high-hazard facilities to ensure full compliance with fire safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Fire Risk Assessments: Perform comprehensive fire risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend actionable corrective and preventive measures that enhance safety protocols.
• System Verification and Inspections: Oversee the inspection, testing, maintenance, commissioning, and verification of critical fire protection systems, including fire alarms, water-based suppression systems, smoke control mechanisms, passive fire protection, fire doors, barriers, and means of egress.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate fire incidents, system failures, and unwanted alarms to determine root causes and propose solutions that prevent recurrence.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with project teams, facilities management, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to align fire safety initiatives with broader organizational goals.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records and generate audit-ready documentation to support compliance with regulatory bodies, including Saudi Civil Defense and international standards.
• Risk Escalation: Identify and escalate significant fire and life safety risks to the appropriate leadership for timely intervention and resolution.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this position, you must possess:

• A **Bachelor’s Degree** in Fire Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• **Minimum of 6 years** of professional experience in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Systems, Fire Prevention, or Fire & Life Safety Compliance, demonstrating a strong track record of technical excellence.
• In-depth knowledge of **Saudi Building Code (SBC)**, **NFPA standards**, **International Fire Code (IFC)**, and **Saudi Civil Defense requirements**, with a proven ability to apply these regulations in real-world scenarios.
• Extensive experience in **fire protection system inspections, testing, commissioning, and compliance verification**, including the ability to interpret technical drawings, designs, and inspection documentation.
• Preferred: **International fire safety certifications** such as CFPS, CFPE, NICET, IFE, or equivalent, validating your expertise in the field.
• A **valid driver’s license** to support field assessments and inspections.
