As a Fund Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our fund administration processes. Reporting directly to the Senior Fund Accountant, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, offshore partners, and clients to deliver high-quality financial services while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:

• Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all fund-related activities strictly comply with fund terms, regulatory requirements, and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations. Maintain alignment with the firm’s policies and procedures to mitigate risks and uphold operational integrity.
• Fund Administration Expertise: Lead and oversee the full spectrum of fund administration tasks, including the calculation of Net Asset Values (NAV), pricing, processing of corporate actions, performance fee calculations, and shareholder services. Act as the primary point of contact for accounting-related inquiries, fostering strong client relationships and ensuring seamless communication.
• Collaboration and Quality Assurance: Review and validate work performed by offshore teams, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Provide proactive support to senior colleagues while actively participating in mentorship and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Reporting and Deadline Management: Prepare and submit timely NAV reports to clients in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Demonstrate self-discipline and reliability in meeting deadlines without reminders, while maintaining flexibility to adapt to evolving client needs.
• Backup and Process Improvement: Provide backup support for transfer agency functions and contribute to process optimization initiatives. Leverage your analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and propose actionable improvements that enhance operational excellence.
• Client Engagement and Relationship Building: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, addressing their accounting and fund-related queries with professionalism and clarity. Represent Apex with confidence, reinforcing our reputation for precision and reliability.

Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Fund Accountant or in an equivalent financial role within the investment management or fund administration sector. Familiarity with UCITS and AIFM frameworks is highly advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a particular emphasis on Excel, including macros and advanced functions. Strong presentation skills to communicate complex financial data effectively.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of AML/KYC procedures, fund accounting standards, and compliance requirements. Ability to navigate regulatory landscapes with confidence and precision.
• Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic. Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including senior management, offshore teams, and clients, with clarity and professionalism.
• Problem-Solving and Adaptability: A proactive mindset with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues and propose innovative solutions. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client demands.
• Education: A strong educational background in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CFA) are a significant advantage.
