• Technical Leadership and Strategic Oversight: Lead and mentor road and highway engineering activities across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, regulatory standards, and client requirements. Interface with stakeholders—including clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities—to align technical deliverables with project objectives and drive seamless collaboration.
• Design Excellence and Optimization: Review and approve intricate roadway designs, including geometric alignments, profiles, cross-sections, grading, and pavement designs. Provide expert guidance on value engineering initiatives and design optimization to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Coordinate technical submissions and authority approvals to accelerate project timelines while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
• Comprehensive Design Review: Conduct thorough reviews of highway and roadway geometric designs, pavement rehabilitation strategies, intersections, interchanges, and drainage integration. Ensure seamless coordination of traffic management, road markings, signage, and utility corridor planning to mitigate conflicts and enhance project feasibility.
• Construction Phase Support: Review shop drawings and method statements to ensure compliance with project standards and QA/QC requirements. Conduct on-site inspections and provide real-time technical support during construction to address challenges and ensure adherence to design specifications. Play a critical role in project handover and close-out activities to guarantee a smooth transition and long-term success.
• Stakeholder Coordination and Mentorship: Facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration with drainage, utilities, traffic, structural, and geotechnical teams to ensure cohesive project execution. Represent our organization in technical meetings with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities, advocating for technical best practices and innovative solutions. Mentor junior engineers and technical staff to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and industry knowledge:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in road or transportation engineering.
• Experience: A minimum of **10–15 years** in road and highway engineering, with a strong preference for experience in contractor organizations and large-scale infrastructure projects. Demonstrated success in highways, urban roads, interchanges, and complex infrastructure developments is highly valued.
• Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in road geometric design, pavement design, grading, earthworks, and BIM coordination. Strong knowledge of **AASHTO, MOT, Saudi Codes, and international road design standards** is essential. Familiarity with **clash detection, quantity take-off, and engineering documentation** will be leveraged to drive project efficiency.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in **Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)**. Experience with **InfraWorks** and **Bentley Open Roads Designer** is a significant advantage. Strong proficiency in **Microsoft Office Suite** for documentation and reporting is required.
