Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for a wide range of critical tasks, including:

• Solution Design and Implementation: Architect and develop tailored VMware vRealize Automation solutions that address complex business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Environment Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of vRealize Automation environments, including deployment, upgrades, and patch management, to maintain optimal performance and reliability.
• Automation of Infrastructure Provisioning: Automate the delivery of virtual machines, containers, and applications using vRA, reducing manual intervention and minimizing human error.
• Workflow and Process Automation: Design and implement intricate automation workflows for application deployment, configuration management, and lifecycle management to enhance operational efficiency.
• DevOps Integration: Foster collaboration between development and operations teams by integrating vRA with DevOps tools and methodologies, enabling seamless CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementations.
• Policy and Procedure Development: Work with cross-functional teams to establish robust policies and procedures for automation, ensuring consistency and scalability across the organization.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex issues within VMware environments, providing innovative solutions that enhance system stability and performance.
• Knowledge Management: Document processes, configurations, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure continuous improvement within the team.
• Technological Advancement: Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements in VMware technologies, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of innovation.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with VMware vRealize Automation or similar VMware solutions, demonstrating a deep understanding of cloud automation and virtualization technologies.
• Proven expertise in VMware Aria Automation: Install, Configure, Manage [V8.10], along with proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible, as well as familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and the ability to create and implement automation workflows for provisioning and service catalog management.
• Ability to integrate vRA with third-party IaC and CI/CD tools to enhance automation capabilities.
• Availability for an 8x5 work schedule, including on-call support, reflecting a commitment to maintaining high availability and responsiveness.
• Exceptional collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between development and operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Eligibility for Saudi National status is mandatory for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be highly valued:

• Additional VMware certifications such as VCP or VCAP.
• Experience with networking and storage technologies in virtual environments.
• Familiarity with cloud management platforms and their integrations, providing a broader perspective on cloud solutions.
