Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, focusing on VMware’s flagship technologies and their integration with modern cloud and security platforms:

• VMware Infrastructure Leadership: Design, deploy, and administer enterprise-grade VMware vSphere environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. Manage vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, clusters, and advanced features such as High Availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduling (DRS), vMotion, and resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency.
• Networking and Security: Configure and troubleshoot VMware NSX, including virtual networking, segmentation, routing, and security policies to fortify our infrastructure against cyber threats. Collaborate with security teams to implement robust network defenses, ensuring compliance and threat mitigation.
• Storage Optimization: Oversee VMware vSAN environments, focusing on storage policies, cluster management, capacity planning, and performance tuning. Proactively troubleshoot storage-related issues to maintain high availability and data integrity.
• Lifecycle Management: Lead VMware infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management initiatives to keep systems current, secure, and aligned with best practices. Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to future-proof our infrastructure against growth and demand.
• Hybrid Cloud Integration: Bridge the gap between on-premises VMware environments and leading cloud platforms, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Microsoft Azure. Design and implement hybrid connectivity solutions, ensuring seamless data flow, security, and operational continuity across multi-cloud environments.
• Security and Networking Collaboration: Work closely with Palo Alto Networks teams to configure and troubleshoot security policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat prevention mechanisms. Manage Infoblox DDI services, including DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM), to ensure efficient and secure network resource allocation.
• Cloud Migration and Disaster Recovery: Lead on-premises-to-cloud migration projects, developing comprehensive migration plans, execution procedures, and technical runbooks. Design and maintain robust Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, conducting failover/failback testing, validation, and troubleshooting to guarantee business continuity and resilience.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and recommending solutions that enhance infrastructure agility, security, and cost-efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure initiatives with broader business objectives.
