As a Track & 3rd Rail Engineer at ALSTOM, you will play a pivotal role in designing, installing, maintaining, and optimizing railway tracks and third rail systems. Key Responsibilities:

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Design and Engineering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and engineer railway tracks, ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations. Utilize advanced engineering tools and software to create precise layouts and specifications for track systems and third rail infrastructure.
• Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation of railway tracks and third rail systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks. Work closely with site teams to execute installations efficiently and effectively.
• Maintenance and Inspection: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of railway tracks and third rail systems to identify potential issues, assess risks, and implement corrective measures. Ensure all systems meet operational safety and performance standards.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical expertise to resolve operational challenges related to track and third rail systems. Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to address technical queries and concerns.
• Compliance and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of engineering designs, installation processes, maintenance activities, and compliance records. Ensure all work aligns with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to deliver high-quality railway infrastructure projects on time and within budget. Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications in railway engineering or relevant domains are a significant advantage.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in railway track design, installation, maintenance, and third rail systems. Familiarity with industry standards such as UIC, AREMA, or EN norms is essential.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or specialized railway design tools. Experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) is a plus.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess technical challenges, develop innovative solutions, and ensure system reliability. A proactive mindset to address issues before they impact operations.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Safety and Compliance Focus: A strong commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance in all engineering and maintenance activities. Attention to detail to minimize risks and ensure operational excellence.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is required. Arabic language skills are considered a strong asset given the location in Riyadh.
