• Financial Recordkeeping and Reconciliation: Maintain meticulous general ledger accounts, financial records, and supporting documentation to ensure complete accuracy and compliance. Regularly reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms, investigating and resolving discrepancies with precision.
• Transaction Processing and Journal Entries: Prepare, review, and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other accounting transactions, ensuring all financial data is accurately captured and documented.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Process vendor payments and manage accounts payable, verifying invoices, approvals, and supporting documentation. Monitor accounts receivable, track outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue accounts to optimize cash flow and collections.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze financial schedules, management reports, and variance analyses to support internal decision-making. Provide insights into financial trends, unusual transactions, and performance metrics to guide strategic initiatives.
• Budgeting and Forecasting Support: Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and expense tracking, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Monitor actual results against approved budgets and communicate findings to leadership for proactive financial planning.
• Tax and Compliance Coordination: Support sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with auditors to prepare schedules, reports, and documentation as needed.
• Payroll and Fixed Asset Management: Provide accounting support for payroll processing, reconciliations, and benefits administration. Maintain fixed asset records, calculate depreciation, and process additions or disposals while supporting periodic asset verification.
• Internal Controls and Process Improvement: Adhere to established accounting policies, segregation-of-duties requirements, and internal control processes. Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting procedures, automation, and data accuracy to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborative Cross-Functional Support: Work seamlessly with finance, operations, procurement, payroll, sales, and management teams to resolve accounting issues and align financial activities with business objectives. Foster strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
