As the **Resident Engineer**, you will be responsible for overseeing every phase of construction—from initial site supervision through testing, commissioning, and final handover—while ensuring strict adherence to approved designs, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Project Leadership and Supervision: Act as the Consultant’s primary on-site representative, leading all site supervision activities and ensuring alignment with project objectives, contract terms, and regulatory standards.
• Multidisciplinary Team Management: Oversee and mentor engineering and inspection teams specializing in civil, structural, architectural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), infrastructure, and specialist systems to guarantee seamless collaboration and high-performance execution.
• Contractual and Technical Compliance: Ensure construction works strictly adhere to approved drawings, specifications, and international codes (e.g., ISO, ASTM, and local Saudi standards) while reviewing and approving contractor submissions such as shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Contractor Performance Oversight: Monitor contractor productivity, progress, and compliance with contractual obligations, addressing performance gaps and ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Scheduling and Milestone Management: Track project schedules, identify potential delays, and coordinate with stakeholders to achieve critical milestones while maintaining alignment with commercial and contractual commitments.
• Technical Coordination and Problem-Solving: Lead regular progress meetings, technical coordination sessions, and stakeholder workshops to address design issues, construction constraints, and RFIs (Requests for Information) with precision and efficiency.
• Quality Assurance and Control: Implement and enforce rigorous QA/QC procedures across all project phases, ensuring that every aspect of construction meets or exceeds industry benchmarks.
• Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) Leadership: Promote a culture of safety and compliance with HSSE protocols, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards.
• Stakeholder and Regulatory Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication with local authorities, utility providers, and other stakeholders while ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations, authority approvals, and statutory requirements.
• Commercial and Contractual Support: Collaborate with commercial and contracts teams to evaluate variations, claims, and EOT (Extension of Time) requests, ensuring fair and transparent resolution processes.
• Testing, Commissioning, and Handover: Oversee testing, commissioning, and integrated system testing activities to ensure operational readiness, followed by meticulous snagging, de-snagging, and handover processes for a flawless project conclusion.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit comprehensive monthly project reports highlighting progress, quality metrics, safety performance, commercial matters, and key risk exposures.
• Team Development and Mentorship: Foster a culture of professional growth by mentoring junior supervision staff, setting high standards for technical excellence, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a **highly accomplished Resident Engineer** with the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management is strongly preferred.
• Professional Certifications: Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of **20+ years** of professional experience in construction and engineering, with **10+ years** specifically as a Resident Engineer on large-scale building developments.
• Specialized Expertise: Proven experience in managing high-profile projects such as convention centers, luxury hotels, resorts, mixed-use developments, and commercial complexes within a **Site Supervision Consultancy, PMC, or Engineering Consultancy** environment.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of international building codes, construction standards, and FIDIC contract administration, with a strong ability to navigate complex contractual and technical challenges.
• Leadership and Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills to effectively engage with contractors, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
