Regional Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Advancing Nephrology Excellence in KSA & UAE

CSL is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Regional Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to drive scientific engagement, evidence generation, and medical education across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In this pivotal role, you will serve as the strategic bridge between CSL’s nephrology portfolio and key stakeholders—including nephrologists, scientific leaders, investigators, healthcare institutions, and medical societies—to enhance patient outcomes and optimize the appropriate use of CSL therapies in kidney diseases.

As a field-based scientific expert, you will spend approximately 80% of your time engaging directly with healthcare professionals, conducting site visits, and participating in regional and international collaborations. This role demands a blend of scientific acumen, strategic thinking, and exceptional relationship management to ensure compliance, foster trust, and advance medical knowledge in nephrology.

Key Responsibilities

Your impact will be measured through the following core responsibilities:

• Scientific Engagement & Stakeholder Leadership
  - Establish and nurture trusted partnerships with nephrologists, KOLs, and scientific leaders across KSA and UAE, aligning with CSL’s global medical strategy.
  - Develop and execute data-driven engagement plans tailored to key opinion leaders, emerging experts, and scientific stakeholders to drive evidence-based decision-making.
  - Deliver compliant, non-promotional scientific communications that reinforce the value of CSL’s nephrology portfolio while adhering to local regulations and company policies.
  - Act as the primary point of contact for unsolicited medical inquiries, ensuring responses are accurate, ethical, and aligned with CSL’s medical affairs guidelines.
• Medical Strategy Execution & Society Collaboration
  - Translate global and regional medical objectives into actionable local strategies, ensuring alignment with KSA and UAE-specific priorities.
  - Collaborate with nephrology societies and professional associations to identify gaps in patient care, disease awareness, and evidence generation, proposing innovative solutions.
  - Represent CSL’s Medical Affairs at national, regional, and international nephrology congresses, translating key insights into strategic initiatives that enhance clinical practice.
  - Support launch excellence, lifecycle management, and diagnostic initiatives to optimize patient pathways and improve therapeutic outcomes.
• Medical Education & Insight Generation
  - Design and facilitate scientific meetings, advisory boards, and educational symposia to address unmet medical needs and bridge knowledge gaps.
  - Systematically collect, analyze, and disseminate actionable insights from healthcare professionals and societies using approved systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  - Identify emerging trends in patient journeys, treatment barriers, and unmet needs, providing strategic recommendations to internal teams for evidence-based decision-making.
• Evidence Generation & Research Support
  - Proactively identify opportunities for investigator-initiated studies, registries, and real-world evidence initiatives to strengthen the scientific foundation of CSL’s nephrology portfolio.
  - Support feasibility assessments and execution of local evidence-generation projects, fostering collaborations with investigators and academic institutions.
  - Contribute to publication planning and dissemination activities, ensuring timely and impactful sharing of research findings.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance
  - Partner seamlessly with Medical Managers, Market Access, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, HEOR, and Patient Advocacy teams while maintaining Medical Affairs’ independence and integrity.
  - Provide field-based scientific expertise to inform strategic decisions, ensuring all activities align with company policies, local regulations, ethical standards, and pharmacovigilance requirements.
