Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of technical, managerial, and leadership duties, including:

• Bridge Design and Engineering Leadership: Lead the design, analysis, and delivery of steel bridge structures, including steel plate girder bridges, steel box girder bridges, composite steel-concrete bridges, pedestrian steel bridges, flyovers, grade-separated interchanges, and elevated road structures. Leverage your deep expertise to develop innovative solutions that address the unique challenges of urban and transportation infrastructure.
• Construction Supervision and Site Management: Oversee bridge construction activities on large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. Conduct rigorous site inspections and review critical deliverables such as shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and temporary works designs.
• Technical Problem-Solving and Challenge Resolution: Act as a strategic advisor during bridge erection, launching, rehabilitation, widening, strengthening, and replacement works. Collaborate closely with contractors, supervision consultants, and construction teams to resolve technical and logistical challenges, ensuring seamless project execution.
• Stakeholder Coordination and Project Delivery: Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, authorities, and multidisciplinary teams to align technical objectives with project goals. Coordinate bridge design with highways, utilities, traffic, drainage, geotechnical, and construction teams to deliver cohesive and high-performance infrastructure solutions.
• Urban Infrastructure Expertise: Apply your specialized knowledge to bridge design requirements for congested urban corridors, grade separations, and major road network improvements. Drive projects that enhance urban mobility while addressing the complexities of high-traffic environments.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a Master’s degree being highly advantageous.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in bridge engineering, with a strong focus on steel bridge design and construction supervision. Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region, particularly in Riyadh.
• Proven expertise in bridge analysis and design software, including MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, CSI Bridge, RM Bridge, or SOFiSTiK.
• Deep familiarity with international bridge design standards and Saudi regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and best practice in all project deliverables.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive collaborative project outcomes.
• A Professional Engineering Chartership or equivalent accreditation is desirable.
