In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Planning, Warehousing, Quality Control, Research & Development, Marketing, Maintenance, and Production—to streamline procurement workflows and enhance overall business performance. Your responsibilities will span the entire procurement lifecycle, from identifying material needs and negotiating with suppliers to ensuring timely deliveries, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining comprehensive procurement records. You will also play a critical role in cost analysis, supplier performance evaluation, and process improvements, driving both operational efficiency and financial savings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Sourcing and Requirement Alignment: Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to define procurement needs, quality specifications, and delivery timelines, ensuring alignment with production schedules and business objectives.
• Supplier Engagement and Negotiation: Engage with approved vendors to gather competitive offers, negotiate favorable terms on price, quality, delivery, and services, and establish long-term supplier partnerships that deliver value.
• Procurement Execution: Efficiently issue purchase orders in the system, monitor financial approvals, and ensure seamless coordination with finance, warehousing, and quality assurance teams for order fulfillment and receipt.
• Operational Oversight: Monitor delivery schedules, stock levels, and inbound inventory to prevent shortages, expedite urgent orders, and mitigate risks to production timelines. Address discrepancies with suppliers promptly to maintain operational continuity.
• Performance and Compliance Management: Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, conduct performance reviews, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards, best practices, and company policies. Track supplier qualification and requalification activities, including site visits and capability assessments.
• Cost Optimization and Savings Initiatives: Analyze procurement costs, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and implement strategies to enhance financial performance. Prepare detailed savings reports and collaborate with engineering teams to explore design-to-cost initiatives.
• Process Improvement and Innovation: Propose and implement process enhancements to streamline procurement workflows, reduce cycle times, and improve overall efficiency. Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to resolve conflicts and escalate issues effectively.
• Risk and Opportunity Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while capitalizing on opportunities to strengthen supplier relationships and expand strategic sourcing options.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate procurement records, prepare status reports on open purchase orders and requisitions, and ensure timely deletion of obsolete purchase requisitions in consultation with end-users.
• New Product Development Support: Source materials for new product developments, provide necessary documentation (e.g., Safety Data Sheets, COAs) to Quality Assurance and R&D teams, and contribute to the development of internal material specifications.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and management to foster a culture of transparency, cooperation, and continuous improvement.
