Transforming Patient Care Through Strategic Scientific Engagement

At Bristol Myers Squibb, we are driven by a singular purpose: to deliver life-changing medicines that address the most critical unmet needs in oncology and immunology. As a global leader in scientific innovation, we empower our employees to collaborate, innovate, and excel in an environment that values integrity, inclusion, and professional growth. This opportunity allows you to make a profound impact—both on the lives of patients battling serious diseases and on the careers of those who contribute to our mission.

We are seeking a highly motivated Therapeutic Area Partner (TAP) in Hematology based in Jeddah to serve as a key bridge between Bristol Myers Squibb and healthcare professionals (HCPs) across the region. In this field-based role, you will play a pivotal role in fostering meaningful scientific exchanges, driving the appropriate and safe use of our products, and advancing our strategic objectives in hematology. This position requires a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and is committed to upholding the highest standards of medical accuracy and compliance.

As the primary liaison for HCPs, your responsibilities will span scientific engagement, product enlistment, and cross-functional collaboration. You will be expected to spend a minimum of 90% of your time in the field, engaging directly with physicians, clinical pharmacists, HEOR experts, and other stakeholders to ensure our therapeutic solutions are effectively integrated into patient care pathways.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will demand a deep understanding of the hematology treatment landscape, coupled with exceptional communication and analytical skills. Below are the core areas of focus:

  • Disease and Treatment Landscape Expertise
    - Maintain an advanced, up-to-date knowledge of hematological diseases and their evolving treatment paradigms.
    - Analyze and synthesize complex clinical data to provide actionable insights for internal teams, shaping future strategic initiatives.
    - Conduct thorough HCP mapping and identify critical knowledge gaps within the territory, designing targeted educational programs to address unmet needs.
    - Stay ahead of emerging scientific trends and emerging data related to BMS products to ensure relevance and accuracy in all engagements.
  • Scientific Engagement and Product Communication
    - Develop and execute a territory-specific plan aligned with predefined KPIs, ensuring all interactions with HCPs are scientifically rigorous and compliant.
    - Prepare and deliver compelling presentations on BMS products, responding thoughtfully to inquiries while maintaining medical precision.
    - Proactively engage with physicians and other HCPs to promote the appropriate use of approved BMS therapies, leveraging internally validated tools and resources.
    - Act as a trusted advisor, providing evidence-based insights to internal teams to support product development and market strategy.
  • Product Enlistment and Economic Value Engagement
    - Collaborate with hospital leadership to map key institutions and tailor engagement strategies to address formulary barriers and access challenges.
    - Work closely with HCPs to facilitate the enlistment of BMS products into hospital formularies, ensuring timely patient access.
    - Communicate the clinical and economic value of BMS therapies to diverse stakeholders, including clinical pharmacists, treating physicians, and government agencies.
    - Deliver HEOR evidence-based information to support decision-making processes and enhance the adoption of our products in clinical settings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Execution
    - Build and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of HCP challenges and priorities.
    - Align with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans that drive product adoption and market success.
    - Proactively seek input from colleagues across disciplines to ensure a holistic approach to addressing the treatment landscape.
    - Execute scientifically sound programs that enhance HCP education and support the overarching goals of the therapeutic area.
  • Compliance and Ethical Standards
    - Uphold the highest standards of compliance, adhering to all internal policies and external regulations governing scientific engagement and product promotion.
    - Promote a culture of integrity and accountability, ensuring all interactions reflect BMS’s commitment to ethical practices.
    - Escalate any potential compliance concerns promptly to the appropriate management channels.

This is more than a job—it is an opportunity to be at the forefront of medical innovation, shaping the future of hematology treatment and making a tangible difference in the lives of patients. If you are passionate about scientific excellence, collaboration, and driving impact in a dynamic healthcare environment, we invite you to join our team in Jeddah and contribute to the next chapter of patient care at Bristol Myers Squibb.
