Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, ensuring that every project phase adheres to the highest standards of efficiency and accountability:

  • Strategic Programme Oversight: Review, analyze, and validate contractor baseline programs and schedule submissions, ensuring they align with project objectives and contractual commitments.
  • Progress Monitoring & Risk Mitigation: Continuously monitor construction progress against approved schedules, identifying deviations, potential risks, and recovery opportunities to keep projects on track.
  • Resource & Performance Analysis: Assess contractor resource allocation, productivity trends, and schedule performance to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
  • Comprehensive Reporting: Prepare detailed weekly and monthly progress reports, interactive dashboards, and executive schedule summaries to inform stakeholders and drive informed decision-making.
  • Delay & Impact Analysis: Conduct thorough schedule impact assessments, delay analyses, and Extension of Time (EOT) evaluations to resolve disputes and ensure fair contractual compliance.
  • Programme Validation: Review and verify contractors' look-ahead programs and recovery schedules, ensuring they reflect realistic timelines and resource commitments.
  • Milestone & Interface Coordination: Monitor critical project milestones, key paths, and cross-disciplinary interface activities to maintain seamless coordination across roads, utilities, traffic, and infrastructure works.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Provide expert planning recommendations to Resident Engineers and Project Managers, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes project success.
  • Claim & Dispute Resolution: Evaluate contractor claims related to time impacts and schedule changes, offering objective insights to support fair and equitable resolutions.
  • Project Governance: Ensure strict adherence to project controls procedures, contractual obligations, and reporting standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Multidisciplinary Coordination: Work closely with supervision teams across roads, utilities, traffic, and infrastructure to align planning efforts and deliver cohesive project outcomes.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate project controls records and programme documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability in all project deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a proven track record in planning, scheduling, and site supervision for large-scale infrastructure projects. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Advanced Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline, complemented by a minimum of 15+ years of specialized experience in planning and scheduling.
  • Infrastructure Expertise: Extensive experience delivering transport, roads, highways, and utilities projects, with a strong focus on government, municipal, or transportation infrastructure programmes.
  • Saudi Arabia & Consultancy Focus: Demonstrated experience working within Saudi Arabia’s consultancy and supervision environments, particularly on large-scale government-led initiatives.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other advanced project planning software, along with a deep understanding of delay analysis methodologies, EOT assessments, and project controls practices.
  • Analytical & Reporting Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities, coupled with strong reporting, communication, and stakeholder management skills to engage effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Certifications & Languages: Professional certifications such as PMP, PSP, or equivalent are highly advantageous. Fluency in English is mandatory, with Arabic language skills offering a competitive edge.
  • Industry Alignment: Experience must be predominantly within consultancy and supervision roles, with a preference for candidates who have avoided primary involvement in building construction, contractor execution, design offices, or head office planning.

At WSP, you will be part of a global community of experts dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and societal impact. Your contributions will not only advance critical infrastructure projects but also foster a culture of collaboration, diversity, and excellence.
