• Cloud Infrastructure Leadership: Oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and associated services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational demands.
• Platform Implementation and Upgrades: Lead the implementation, configuration, and upgrading of cloud platforms and infrastructure components to meet evolving business and technical requirements, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
• Performance and Reliability Monitoring: Continuously monitor cloud environments, analyze performance metrics, and proactively identify and resolve potential issues to maintain optimal availability and operational efficiency.
• Incident Resolution and Troubleshooting: Take ownership of investigating and resolving complex cloud infrastructure incidents, recurring technical problems, and performance bottlenecks with a focus on root-cause analysis and long-term solutions.
• Application and Service Deployment: Deploy, configure, and support applications and services across cloud environments, ensuring smooth integration and adherence to performance, security, and scalability standards.
• OpenShift Cluster Management: Manage and support OpenShift environments, including cluster administration, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure high availability and operational resilience.
• Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Champion the adoption of automation and Infrastructure as Code practices to streamline deployments, enhance consistency, and improve operational reliability, reducing manual intervention and human error.
• Cloud Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce cloud security controls and best practices to safeguard systems, applications, and organizational data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Support backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability arrangements for cloud services, ensuring robust resilience and minimal impact during critical incidents.
• Architectural Assessments and Optimization: Conduct technical assessments and recommend strategic improvements to cloud architecture, performance, security, and cost efficiency, driving continuous innovation and operational excellence.
• Documentation and Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, operational procedures, system configurations, and architecture records to ensure knowledge retention and facilitate onboarding for team members.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with application, cybersecurity, network, and other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of cloud services, fostering a culture of cross-functional excellence.
• Technical Guidance and Mentorship: Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the organization.
• Project and Migration Support: Support major cloud projects, migrations, upgrades, and technology implementations, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business goals.
• Technology Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends by maintaining awareness of emerging cloud and OpenShift technologies, and recommend relevant solutions for organizational adoption to drive digital transformation.
