We are seeking a highly skilled Track & 3rd Rail Engineer to play a pivotal role in the groundbreaking expansion of the Riyadh Metro Line 2. This is an opportunity to apply your expertise in railway systems engineering to a high-impact project that will redefine urban connectivity in Saudi Arabia. As part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team, you will contribute to the design, coordination, and execution of cutting-edge trackwork and 750V DC third rail systems, ensuring seamless integration with civil, traction power, signalling, and rolling stock components.

Your Impact

In this dynamic role, you will:

• Develop and refine intricate track alignment layouts, track geometry, and specialised trackwork designs tailored to at-grade, elevated, and underground sections.
• Lead the design and coordination of advanced ballastless (slab) track systems, ensuring compliance with industry-leading standards and project specifications.
• Verify critical track clearances, dynamic envelopes, and maintenance access requirements to guarantee operational efficiency and safety.
• Design and review comprehensive 750V DC third rail systems, including conductor rail arrangements, expansion joints, and sectioning plans, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—Civil, Traction Power, Signalling, Rolling Stock, and Systems Integration—to manage interfaces and resolve technical challenges.
• Participate actively in design review meetings with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Provide on-site technical support during construction, site inspections, testing, and commissioning phases, driving the successful delivery of the project.
• Contribute to the development of critical engineering deliverables, including detailed drawings, technical reports, and risk assessments, to support project success.

• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as AutoCAD, Bentley OpenRail/OpenTrack, or MicroStation, enabling you to create precise and efficient engineering solutions.
• Familiarity with EN, IEC, and project-specific railway standards, ensuring compliance and quality in your work.
• Strong expertise in track alignment layouts and geometry design, with a keen eye for detail and precision.
• Exceptional stakeholder coordination and communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and external partners.
• A proactive approach to managing railway systems interfaces and troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring seamless project execution.
• Experience in construction support and field engineering, bridging the gap between design and real-world implementation.
