We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the meticulous management of accounts payable, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

As the Accounts Payable Accountant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Financial Record-Keeping and Accuracy: Maintain precise and up-to-date accounting records, with a primary focus on accounts payable, vendor balances, and related general ledger accounts. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Journal Entries and Adjustments: Prepare and post AP journal entries, accruals, and adjustments with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring they align with financial reporting requirements and internal controls.
• Vendor and Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile vendor accounts, bank statements, and intercompany balances monthly to identify and resolve discrepancies, maintaining financial transparency and integrity.
• Closing Support: Provide critical support during monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, with a specific emphasis on AP reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial closings.
• Tax Compliance and Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate VAT filings, ensuring strict adherence to ZATCA guidelines. Monitor AP aging and outstanding vendor balances, proactively addressing any overdue payments and resolving discrepancies with internal stakeholders.
• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain comprehensive fixed asset records, ensuring proper capitalization and depreciation in accordance with accounting standards and company procedures.
• Audit and Review Support: Assist external auditors and internal review teams by providing timely access to AP records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation, fostering a culture of accountability and transparency.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory, reflecting a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
• Experience: 4 to 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, with a specialized focus on Accounts Payable. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in SaaS, tech, or subscription-based industries, where financial processes are dynamic and scalable.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, accruals, vendor reconciliations, deferred revenue, and subscription billing models. Hands-on experience with VAT returns and Withholding Tax is essential.
• ERP Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems, with a particular advantage for experience in NetSuite, enabling seamless integration with our financial workflows.
• Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in Advanced Excel, including the use of PivotTables, complex lookups, and sophisticated reconciliations, to streamline data analysis and reporting.
• Communication: Fluency in English, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
