Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Team Management: Direct the accounting department by overseeing daily operations, ensuring adherence to accounting principles, and fostering a collaborative environment. Develop and implement hiring strategies, provide mentorship, and evaluate team performance to cultivate a high-performing finance team.
• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments, to guarantee the integrity of financial reporting.
• Strategic Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide senior management with strategic recommendations to optimize cost structures, enhance revenue streams, and improve operational efficiency.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between the finance team and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies. Collaborate closely to ensure seamless audit processes and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Policy Development and Risk Management: Design and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. Stay ahead of evolving accounting standards and industry trends, ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with department heads and business unit leaders to provide financial guidance, support strategic initiatives, and align financial goals with broader organizational objectives.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance: Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in accordance with company policies and International Management Systems (IMS) standards.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Expertise in Accounting Principles: Deep understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate and compliant financial operations.
• Leadership and Team Development: Proven ability to lead and inspire accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with a strong preference for SAP functional skills, to manage financial transactions and generate reports efficiently.
• Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data, conduct variance analysis, and derive actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Experience in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide long-term financial planning and resource allocation.
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to translate financial data into strategic recommendations that drive business growth, cost optimization, and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a significant advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in accounting leadership, with a strong background in financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and best practices is highly beneficial, particularly in environments requiring rigorous financial oversight.
