Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:

• Medication Verification & Dispensing: Thoroughly review and interpret physician-prescribed medications, ensuring accuracy in dosage, duration, and potential drug interactions. Communicate proactively with prescribing physicians to clarify any ambiguities or concerns, guaranteeing that every prescription meets clinical standards before dispensing.
• Patient-Centered Counseling: Provide clear, compassionate, and evidence-based guidance to patients and caregivers on medication administration, storage, and safety protocols. Address inquiries with professionalism, ensuring patients leave the pharmacy with confidence in their treatment plans.
• Operational Excellence: Optimize workflow efficiency by minimizing patient wait times through streamlined dispensing processes. Utilize electronic systems, such as the CPOE (Computerized Provider Order Entry), to accurately process and document prescriptions while maintaining strict adherence to pharmacy protocols.
• Medication Safety & Compliance: Implement rigorous safety measures, including double-checking dispensed medications, proper labeling, and secure storage of controlled substances. Adhere to Fakeeh Care’s policies for handling nearly expired medications and never dispense medications beyond their expiration dates.
• Inventory & Financial Responsibilities: Manage inventory control, ensuring accurate record-keeping and secure storage of all pharmaceutical products. Process patient billing accurately and maintain transparency in financial transactions.
• Professional Development & Training: Actively participate in continuing education programs to stay current with advancements in pharmacy practice, medication management, and infection control standards. Mentor new pharmacists, students, and trainees, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and professional growth.
• Regulatory & Ethical Compliance: Uphold Fakeeh Care’s commitment to ethical standards, cybersecurity, and patient confidentiality. Report any medication errors, adverse drug reactions (ADRs), or safety concerns through the appropriate channels, ensuring continuous improvement in pharmacy operations.
• Health & Safety Advocacy: Demonstrate proficiency in handling hazardous materials and first aid protocols. Contribute to a workplace culture that prioritizes safety, infection prevention, and proactive risk mitigation.
