Information Technology Asset Manager – Strategic Leadership for IT Asset Management and Infrastructure Governance

Join our dynamic IT Infrastructure & Operations team as the **Information Technology Asset Manager**, where you will drive excellence in IT Asset Management (ITAM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB) governance, and service dependency mapping across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the technical and operational leader for Device42, ensuring seamless asset discovery, accurate data integrity, robust CMDB governance, and seamless integrations to support enterprise-wide IT operations, compliance, and strategic decision-making.

As the visionary behind ITAM strategy and execution, you will architect and enforce policies, lifecycle controls, and data-quality standards that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. This position demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and collaborative partnership to optimize asset visibility, reduce operational risks, and enhance IT service delivery across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive ITAM strategy, governance framework, and lifecycle management policies to ensure alignment with business objectives, compliance mandates, and operational efficiency. Drive data-quality standards, reconciliation processes, and normalization protocols to maintain an accurate and reliable CMDB.
• Platform Ownership: Act as the primary administrator for the Device42 platform, overseeing discovery mechanisms, Remote Collectors, CMDB governance, application/service dependency mapping, reporting, API integrations, security protocols, and platform upgrades. Troubleshoot technical issues to ensure continuous platform performance and reliability.
• Discovery and Infrastructure Management: Design and manage discovery processes across a diverse IT landscape, including servers, VMware environments, networks, storage systems, databases, middleware, containers, and cloud platforms. Ensure comprehensive coverage and accuracy of asset data to support impact analysis, change management, and capacity planning initiatives.
• CMDB Governance and Configuration Management: Establish and enforce CMDB data-quality controls, including deduplication, ownership accountability, and configuration management practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate asset representation and alignment with ITIL frameworks.
• Dependency Mapping and Risk Mitigation: Lead application and service dependency mapping efforts to enhance impact analysis, change management workflows, cybersecurity posture, and disaster recovery planning. Leverage dependency insights to mitigate risks and optimize IT service resilience.
• Integration and Automation: Manage integrations between Device42 and key platforms such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy, monitoring tools, vulnerability management systems, cloud environments, and automation frameworks. Develop REST APIs, scripts (Python/PowerShell), and automated workflows to streamline asset management processes.
• Reporting and Compliance: Design and deliver actionable dashboards and reports focused on asset lifecycle management, discovery coverage, CMDB health, compliance metrics, utilization analytics, warranty tracking, and technology risk assessment. Ensure audit readiness and adherence to regulatory standards, including secure asset disposal protocols.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead the IT Assets team and foster cross-functional partnerships with infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, procurement, finance, ITSM, risk management, audit, and business stakeholders. Align ITAM initiatives with broader organizational goals to drive operational excellence.
• Vendor and Continuous Improvement: Manage relationships with technology vendors and support partners, negotiate SLAs, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ITAM processes and tooling capabilities.
