In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in maintaining and optimizing the IT infrastructure that underpins some of the most advanced urban transit systems in the world. Reporting directly to the local project management team, you will ensure seamless operations, troubleshoot technical challenges, and implement solutions that enhance performance, reliability, and user experience. Key Responsibilities

As the backbone of our IT operations, your responsibilities will include:

• System Administration and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and applications to ensure peak performance and minimal downtime. Oversee virtualized environments, including VMware and Oracle Virtualization Manager (OVM), to support scalable and resilient infrastructure.
• Incident Management and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. Provide rapid, effective solutions to maintain system continuity and operational efficiency.
• Application Deployment and Support: Assist in the deployment of new applications, updates, and system enhancements while ensuring compatibility and functionality. Conduct thorough functional testing to validate software performance and adherence to test case procedures.
• Technical Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including procedures, troubleshooting guides, and incident reports, to support team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• User Support and Training: Deliver on-site and remote technical assistance to end-users, ensuring they can leverage IT systems effectively. Manage user accounts, credentials, and access configurations securely and efficiently.
• Preventive Maintenance and Safety Compliance: Perform regular safety checks and preventive maintenance on equipment to mitigate risks and extend system lifespan. Adhere to industry best practices for hardware and software upkeep.
• Network and Infrastructure Optimization: Monitor and optimize network environments, including IP addressing, routing, switching, and firewall configurations, to ensure robust connectivity and performance.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must bring a blend of technical expertise and hands-on experience:

• Education: A degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 7 years in IT support, technical operations, or a similar domain, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality technical solutions.
• Core Technical Skills:
• Virtualization and Operating Systems: Proficiency in VMware and Oracle Virtual Manager (OVM), including maintenance, troubleshooting, updates, and patching. Strong experience with Linux and Windows Server 2016, including administration, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
• Middleware and Databases: Hands-on experience with WebLogic and HAProxy, along with foundational knowledge of Oracle Database and PostgreSQL. Familiarity with Kubernetes (MicroK8s) for containerization and clustering.
• Networking: Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, VLANs, firewalling, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Hardware and Software: Expertise in hardware diagnosis, maintenance, and PC imaging/cloning. Experience with SFTP/SSH and software transfer tools.

Desirable Skills

While not mandatory, the following skills will further enhance your impact in our Mobility operations:

• Middleware and Services: Experience with JasperServer, Keycloak, ActiveMQ, and Asterisk/FreePBX for voice and messaging systems.
• Infrastructure and Directory Services: Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS Server, and Oracle Siebel CRM, along with ticketing or voice systems.
• Storage and Backup: Familiarity with Oracle ZS5-2 Storage, tape library backups, and Oracle Secure Backup solutions.
• Security: Experience with McAfee Antivirus ePO for endpoint protection.
