In this pivotal role, you will lead the technical execution of large-scale mixed-use developments, ensuring structural integrity, compliance, and excellence from concept to completion. Your strategic guidance will be instrumental in overseeing high-profile projects that set new benchmarks for architectural and engineering excellence in the region.

Key Responsibilities

As the driving force behind structural supervision, your responsibilities will include:

• Technical Leadership: Direct the supervision of structural works across major building developments, ensuring adherence to approved designs, project specifications, international best practices, and local regulatory standards.
• Quality Assurance: Rigorously review and approve structural shop drawings, calculations, method statements, material submittals, and temporary works proposals to maintain the highest standards of precision and safety.
• Compliance and Inspection: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with approved documentation, codes, and authority requirements.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and client representatives to align technical decisions and resolve complex challenges.
• Technical Oversight: Evaluate contractor requests for information (RFIs), inspections, and technical submissions, ensuring timely and accurate responses while mitigating risks.
• Issue Resolution: Identify non-conformances and implement corrective actions promptly to maintain project momentum and quality.
• Progress Monitoring: Support the Resident Engineer in tracking project milestones, generating reports, and resolving technical issues with strategic foresight.
• Witnessing and Commissioning: Oversee testing and commissioning activities related to structural systems, ensuring they meet performance and safety criteria.
• Mentorship: Guide and develop junior engineers and site inspectors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, complemented by a minimum of 12–15 years of post-graduate experience, with at least 8 years dedicated to building construction supervision projects within the GCC.
• In-depth expertise in reinforced concrete and structural steel construction, including the ability to review complex structural calculations and temporary works designs.
• Proven familiarity with regulatory frameworks, including those of the Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, and other relevant authorities, ensuring seamless compliance.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to bridge gaps between technical teams, contractors, and clients with clarity and diplomacy.
• A desirable membership in a recognized professional engineering body, further validating your expertise and commitment to industry standards.
