As the primary liaison for all student-related matters—spanning academic guidance, administrative support, and personal development—you will oversee the entire Student Life Cycle Management (SLCM), ensuring seamless transitions from admission to graduation. Collaborating closely with students, faculty advisors, program chairs, and administrative offices, you will champion effective communication, problem-solving, and the implementation of best practices to enhance the graduate experience. Your work will not only support individual student success but also contribute to the broader mission of advancing biomedical research and education at KAUST.

In this multifaceted role, you will provide comprehensive operational and administrative leadership to degree programs, coordinating a wide range of academic and professional development initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

• Student Support and Engagement: Serve as the central point of contact for graduate students, addressing academic, personal, and administrative inquiries with empathy and professionalism. Collaborate with admissions, registrar offices, and graduate affairs to streamline onboarding, orientation, and retention strategies. Play an active role in recruitment efforts, career development programs, and graduation celebrations, ensuring students feel valued and supported throughout their journey.
• Program Coordination and Event Management: Organize and facilitate weekly seminars, guest lectures, faculty meetings, and external speaker engagements to enrich the academic curriculum and foster intellectual growth. Manage logistics for qualifying examinations, dissertation defenses, and other critical milestones in the PhD program, ensuring adherence to academic policies and timelines.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and generate insightful reports to inform program improvements. Leverage data analytics to identify trends, assess student needs, and collaborate with stakeholders on process enhancements that optimize administrative efficiency and academic outcomes.
• Faculty and Divisional Support: Assist program chairs and faculty in developing and communicating degree program policies, outreach materials, and special initiatives. Contribute to faculty orientation efforts and support the division’s strategic goals through proactive communication and resource management.
• Recruitment and Outreach: Represent the Biomedical Sciences Division at recruitment events, showcasing research opportunities, internships, and career pathways. Maintain detailed records of internship placements and coordinate partnerships with industry and academic institutions to expand student networking and professional development.
