As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for steering the financial direction of our Saudi entity while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance team. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a proactive mindset to drive efficiency and align financial strategies with broader business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of financial oversight, ensuring seamless operations across all critical functions:

• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Lead the preparation of accurate and compliant financial statements in adherence to local regulations (such as Corporate Tax, VAT, and Withholding Tax) and international standards like IFRS or SOCPA. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring timely and precise reporting. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth compliance and audit processes, while preparing comprehensive financial materials for board meetings.
• Strategic Financial Planning: Monitor budget performance through rigorous variance analysis to identify trends and opportunities for optimization. Develop and maintain dynamic cash flow forecasts and working capital requirements to support liquidity and financial stability.
• External Liaison & Supplier Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including insurance providers, suppliers, finance teams, and local banks. Ensure strict adherence to contractual obligations among third-party suppliers, reviewing service receipts, payments, commissions, and other financial transactions. Collaborate with the Head of Accounts Payable to oversee Letter of Credit (LC) and Bank Guarantee (BG) processes, while continuously refining policies related to supplier contracts, purchase orders, and payment workflows.
• Process Improvement & Technological Innovation: Leverage advanced financial systems and tools, such as ERP platforms, Power BI, and planning software, to enhance data-driven decision-making. Stay ahead of industry trends by embracing emerging technologies like AI to elevate financial analysis and forecasting capabilities. Maintain and update accounting manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and scalability across operations.
• Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team, encompassing roles in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Compliance, and General Ledger. Foster a collaborative environment that prioritizes accountability, professional growth, and continuous learning. Actively contribute to Saudization initiatives, aligning with local workforce development goals and supporting talent acquisition programs through partnerships with universities.
• Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate transparent and effective communication with internal stakeholders, including Finance Directors, team members, Sales & Supply Chain leaders, and Legal teams. Engage externally with ERP teams and educational institutions to drive talent development and organizational growth.

Qualifications & Experience

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional with a proven track record in financial leadership. Ideal candidates will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a preference for candidates holding an MBA or professional certifications such as CMA or CPA.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial controlling, with a strong preference for candidates who have successfully led financial operations within the MENAP region. Experience in a dynamic, multinational environment is a significant advantage.
• Deep expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory filings, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.
• Proven ability to streamline financial processes, implement technological solutions, and drive operational efficiency through process improvements.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the capacity to inspire and develop a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external partners.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, Power BI, and financial planning tools, along with an openness to adopting emerging technologies to enhance financial analysis.
