Key Responsibilities:

• Database Design & Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of robust, high-performance database schemas and structures tailored to meet the evolving needs of DeepSource’s applications and business processes. Ensure scalability, reliability, and optimal performance for mission-critical systems.
• Database Administration: Oversee the day-to-day management of enterprise-level databases, including backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning. Implement and enforce best practices for database maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure operational excellence.
• Security & Compliance: Develop and enforce stringent security protocols to protect sensitive data, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and DeepSource’s internal policies. Stay abreast of emerging threats and implement proactive measures to safeguard our database environment.
• Performance Optimization: Conduct in-depth analysis of database performance metrics and identify opportunities for optimization. Implement strategies to enhance query efficiency, reduce latency, and improve overall system responsiveness.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data analysts, and IT operations, to align database solutions with business objectives. Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
