Transforming Hematology Care: Therapeutic Area Partner – Riyadh

At Bristol Myers Squibb, we are dedicated to advancing the frontiers of medicine by delivering life-changing therapies that address unmet needs in serious diseases. As a Therapeutic Area Partner (TAP) in Hematology based in Riyadh, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of patient care through strategic scientific engagement, evidence-based advocacy, and collaborative partnerships. This dynamic field-based role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful impact by bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world clinical practice, all while contributing to a culture of innovation, integrity, and excellence.

In this position, you will serve as the trusted medical liaison between Bristol Myers Squibb and a diverse network of healthcare professionals (HCPs), including hematologists, clinical pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering informed decision-making, optimizing patient outcomes, and ensuring the appropriate and safe use of our therapeutic solutions. With a commitment to spend at least 90% of your time in the field, you will engage directly with key stakeholders to deliver impactful programs, address critical knowledge gaps, and advocate for evidence-based treatment approaches.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities designed to elevate the scientific dialogue and operational excellence within the hematology landscape:

  • Disease and Treatment Landscape Expertise
    - Maintain an in-depth understanding of hematological diseases, emerging therapies, and evolving treatment paradigms to provide actionable insights to internal teams and external stakeholders.
    - Analyze and synthesize complex clinical data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities that inform strategic initiatives and product development.
    - Develop targeted educational programs to address unmet needs within your territory, ensuring HCPs are equipped with the latest evidence and best practices.
  • Scientific Engagement and Product Advocacy
    - Design and execute a territory-specific engagement plan aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring all interactions are medically accurate, timely, and aligned with approved indications.
    - Serve as the primary point of contact for HCPs, proactively addressing inquiries related to BMS products while leveraging approved tools and resources.
    - Stay at the forefront of emerging clinical data and scientific advancements to deliver compelling, data-driven narratives that reinforce the value of our therapies.
  • Product Enlistment and Economic Value Communication
    - Conduct comprehensive hospital mapping to tailor access strategies, identify formulary barriers, and facilitate the enlistment of BMS products within healthcare systems.
    - Collaborate with hospital leadership, clinical pharmacists, and treating physicians to navigate access challenges and ensure timely adoption of approved therapies.
    - Articulate the scientific and economic value of BMS products through evidence-based discussions, including HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research) insights, to support decision-making at institutional and governmental levels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    - Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gain a holistic understanding of HCP challenges and align strategies with broader organizational goals.
    - Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams—including medical affairs, market access, and commercial—to deliver cohesive programs that drive adoption and optimize patient care.
    - Proactively seek input from diverse perspectives to refine strategies and ensure they reflect the evolving needs of the hematology community.
  • Compliance and Integrity
    - Uphold the highest standards of compliance, adhering to all internal policies and external regulations governing scientific engagement and product promotion.
    - Promote a culture of transparency and accountability, reporting any potential compliance concerns promptly to ensure ethical and responsible practices.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, mission-driven professional with a passion for hematology and a commitment to advancing patient-centered care. If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are eager to make a tangible difference in the lives of patients, we invite you to join our team in Riyadh. Together, we will shape the future of hematology—one meaningful interaction at a time.
