SAP System Administrator – Strategic Infrastructure Leadership

As an integral part of our IT infrastructure team, you will oversee the administration of SAP systems, including ERP, CRM, and other enterprise applications, while ensuring high availability, security, and scalability. Your strategic mindset and hands-on technical skills will be instrumental in supporting business continuity, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing best practices in system administration.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP System Administration: Lead the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of SAP systems, including SAP ERP, CRM, and other enterprise solutions. Ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance with industry standards.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the administration of Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure) to support SAP workloads. Implement and maintain robust backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
• Security and Compliance: Enforce IT security policies, patch management, and vulnerability assessments to safeguard SAP systems. Collaborate with security teams to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Automation and Efficiency: Develop and implement automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline administrative tasks, reduce manual effort, and improve system reliability.
• Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance to junior team members, mentor SAP administrators, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Serve as a trusted advisor on SAP infrastructure matters.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics, troubleshoot complex issues, and recommend solutions to enhance SAP system efficiency and user experience.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with IT, business units, and external vendors to align SAP infrastructure with organizational goals. Participate in cross-functional projects to drive technological advancements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP system configurations, procedures, and incident reports. Generate performance reports to support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in SAP administration (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate) are highly preferred.
• Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP system administration, with 3+ years in a leadership or advisory role. Proven expertise in managing SAP ERP, CRM, and other enterprise applications in complex environments.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, ABAP, and SAP Basis. Strong working experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Proficiency in Linux environments (RHEL, SUSE) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Virtualization and Networking: Extensive experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi) or Hyper-V, along with a solid understanding of networking concepts, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automating administrative tasks and workflows.
• Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring teams and driving technical initiatives. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Certifications: Preferred certifications include SAP Certified Technology Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VCP (VMware Certified Professional), or ITIL v4.
