Your Impact

As a Roads Engineer at ARX, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the development of roads and highways that form the backbone of modern infrastructure. Your work will directly influence the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of transportation systems in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and beyond. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and Optimizing Road Systems: Lead the conceptualization, planning, and execution of roads and highways, ensuring alignment with geometric, traffic, and pavement design principles. Your expertise will cover horizontal and vertical alignments, grading, intersections, junctions, and pavement structures to deliver high-performance solutions.
• Ensuring Compliance and Excellence: Adhere to local KSA regulations, international standards, and best practices to guarantee that all designs meet rigorous quality and safety benchmarks. Your attention to detail will ensure seamless integration with broader project requirements.
• Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with project managers, cross-functional engineering teams, and stakeholders to align road infrastructure with overarching project goals. Your ability to coordinate with disciplines such as geotechnics, traffic management, and BIM/CAD will be instrumental in delivering cohesive and innovative designs.
• Technical Mentorship and Innovation: Provide expert guidance to junior engineers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical advancement. Your insights will drive the adoption of cutting-edge tools and methodologies, including proficiency in software like Civil 3D and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in infrastructure design principles.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure projects, with a specialized focus on roads and highways. At least 1 year of relevant experience within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is mandatory, demonstrating your ability to navigate local regulatory and operational landscapes.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of road and highway design, including geometric layouts, traffic analysis, pavement engineering, and intersection/junction planning. Familiarity with KSA-specific codes, standards, and authority requirements is essential.
• Software Proficiency: Competency in industry-leading design software, such as Civil 3D and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, to streamline workflows and enhance design accuracy.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous, facilitating seamless communication with local stakeholders and authorities.
