Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, ensuring seamless integration of ServiceNow ITSM capabilities across the organization:

• Strategic Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Actively participate in workshops and discussions to capture and document business and technical requirements for ITSM initiatives. Leverage your analytical skills to assess existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose data-driven enhancements using ServiceNow’s robust features.
• Solution Design and Implementation: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement tailored ServiceNow solutions, including ITSM, IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Business Management (ITBM), and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.
• Platform Configuration and Optimization: Configure and maintain critical ServiceNow modules such as incident, problem, change, and request management. Develop and refine workflows, business rules, UI policies, notifications, and approval processes to automate and optimize service delivery. Leverage scripting, APIs, and integrations to enhance functionality and interoperability.
• CMDB Excellence: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of the CMDB by managing configuration items (CIs), relationships, and service dependencies. Support Discovery tools and other data population activities to maintain a real-time, reliable inventory of IT assets. Troubleshoot CMDB-related issues and drive data quality initiatives to empower informed decision-making.
• Technical and Functional Support: Provide end-to-end support for ServiceNow applications, troubleshooting platform issues, and resolving defects. Act as a trusted advisor to end-users, offering guidance on best practices, workflow optimizations, and troubleshooting techniques. Assist in release management, upgrades, and maintenance activities to ensure platform stability and performance.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders by clearly communicating requirements, challenges, and solutions. Work closely with business units, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless solution delivery. Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including configuration guides, user manuals, and process workflows.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Play a crucial role in the testing lifecycle by designing test scenarios, developing test cases, and executing functional and integration testing. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure identified issues are documented, resolved, and retested to meet business requirements. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance configurations, processes, and user experience.
• Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain ServiceNow reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into service performance. Support the creation of KPIs and operational metrics to monitor IT service health and drive data-informed decision-making. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine reporting requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Continuous Learning and Delivery: Stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements by continuously upskilling in ServiceNow and related domains. Adhere to project timelines and delivery schedules, ensuring efficient resource utilization and cost-effective solutions. Provide regular progress reports, highlighting deviations and execution status to keep stakeholders informed.
• Problem-Solving and Quality Assurance: Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges, escalating complex issues to senior leadership as needed. Champion quality control processes to ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of excellence and reliability.
• Business Process Improvement: Drive process automation and optimization by evaluating existing systems, policies, and procedures. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve overall service quality through innovative ServiceNow configurations.
