We are seeking a highly accomplished Principal Rotating Equipment Design Engineer to lead our team in delivering cutting-edge solutions for critical rotating machinery within the Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon processing, petroleum refining, offshore, and infrastructure sectors. This role demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in the design, specification, and engineering of complex rotating equipment—including pumps, compressors, seals, and specialty utility systems—across large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 15 years of industry experience, with a deep expertise in both Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed engineering phases.

In this influential position, you will serve as a technical leader, guiding a multidisciplinary team of up to 10 mechanical engineers and designers to ensure the highest standards of design integrity and project execution. Your responsibilities will span strategic planning, technical oversight, and performance evaluation, ensuring that all deliverables meet rigorous industry benchmarks while adhering to strict timelines and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Team Management: Direct a team of engineers and designers, fostering collaboration and driving excellence in rotating equipment design and engineering.
• Technical Expertise: Develop comprehensive discipline work plans and oversee the creation of equipment data sheets and specifications, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
• Technical Studies and Analysis: Conduct in-depth technical evaluations, including compressor configuration studies, driver selection assessments, lifecycle cost analyses, and RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) studies to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
• Bid and Review Management: Evaluate technical bids and conduct thorough reviews of packaged equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and industry regulations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Provide expert technical leadership and guidance to project teams, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on rotating equipment solutions.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain accountability for the design integrity of the mechanical scope, performance of assigned staff, and on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Key Interactions: Your role will require broad engagement with cross-functional teams, project managers, and client representatives. You will collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines to integrate rotating equipment solutions seamlessly into broader project frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required, complemented by a minimum of 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon processing, petroleum refining, offshore, or infrastructure industries.
• Proven expertise in FEED and detailed engineering for medium to large-scale projects, with a focus on rotating equipment and turbo machinery systems.

Technical Competencies:

• Comprehensive Knowledge of Design and Construction Practices: Deep understanding of industry standards, including ASME, ANSI, NFPA, API, OSHA, ISA, and NEC, as well as construction practices and procedures.
• Rotating Equipment and Turbo Machinery Systems: Extensive experience in the design, installation, pre-commissioning, and mechanical completion of rotating equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Industry-Specific Standards: Familiarity with Saudi Aramco Standards and Procedures is highly advantageous and will be a significant asset in this role.
