As a Staff AI Researcher, your responsibilities will be both ambitious and transformative. You will:

• Lead AI research and development in advanced domains such as computer vision, multimodal AI, agentic architectures, and Edge AI, ensuring Lenovo’s technologies remain at the pinnacle of innovation.
• Design and deploy perception systems for real-world applications, including object detection, classification, segmentation, tracking, pose estimation, and recognition, enabling machines to interpret and interact with their environments with unprecedented accuracy.
• Develop AI capabilities for robotics and autonomous platforms, focusing on critical functionalities such as localization, sensor fusion, navigation, predictive modeling, and decision-making algorithms to enhance autonomy and efficiency.
• Integrate and optimize large language models (LLMs), vision-language models (VLMs), and multimodal AI systems, fostering intelligent reasoning, human-machine collaboration, and adaptive learning across diverse applications.
• Deploy and refine AI models across edge and cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, low-latency operation, and cost-effectiveness to meet the demands of global deployment.
• Evaluate and prototype emerging AI technologies, establishing benchmarks, performance metrics, and industry standards that drive the evolution of AI research and development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to translate research into patentable innovations, proprietary technologies, and market-ready solutions that redefine industry standards.

Who You Are: A Trailblazer in AI and Machine Learning

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate AI researcher with a proven track record of excellence in both theoretical and applied AI domains. Your expertise and vision will be instrumental in advancing Lenovo’s AI capabilities. Ideal candidates will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field, with a strong academic foundation in AI, machine learning, or computational intelligence.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning, computer vision, and agentic AI solutions, from conceptualization through full-scale implementation in production environments.
• Deep expertise in computer vision, with a robust understanding of detection, classification, segmentation, tracking, and sensor fusion techniques, and their applications in real-world scenarios.
• Proven experience with modern AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV, as well as proficiency in developing and optimizing AI models for deployment on both edge and cloud platforms.
• Specialized knowledge of large language models (LLMs), vision-language models (VLMs), multimodal AI systems, and autonomous AI architectures, enabling you to design and implement sophisticated intelligent agents.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, with additional experience in C++ and AI deployment technologies, ensuring you can translate complex algorithms into high-performance, scalable solutions.
