As a **Senior Estimation Engineer**, you will be responsible for leading the preparation of detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and commercial proposals for a diverse range of projects, including roads, infrastructure, civil construction, and building developments. Your strategic insights will be instrumental in securing contracts while maintaining profitability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine **detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and commercial proposals** tailored to meet the requirements of major tenders, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Conduct thorough **reviews of tender documents, project drawings, specifications, and scopes of work** to identify critical cost drivers and potential risks.
• Perform **quantitative analysis** to determine material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and project objectives.
• Obtain and **evaluate quotations** from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating favorable terms while maintaining cost efficiency.
• Prepare **detailed rate analyses and pricing breakdowns**, providing transparent and defensible cost structures for proposal submissions.
• Identify and assess **project risks, exclusions, assumptions, and cost impacts**, proactively mitigating challenges to enhance project viability.
• Collaborate closely with **technical, procurement, and project teams** during the tender preparation phase, ensuring seamless integration of estimation insights.
• Compare and **validate subcontractor and supplier quotations**, contributing to the development of commercially robust tender prices.
• Participate actively in **tender clarifications and negotiations**, leveraging your expertise to secure favorable contract terms.
• Maintain and **update cost databases and historical project rates**, fostering data-driven decision-making for future estimations.

Requirements:

• A **Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering** or a related field, complemented by **10+ years of specialized experience** in estimation and tendering within the construction industry.
• Proven expertise in **roads, infrastructure, civil works, and building construction**, with a strong track record in preparing tenders for large-scale projects.
• Deep knowledge of **BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, rate analysis, and cost estimation methodologies**, ensuring precision and compliance with industry best practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of **construction materials, labor productivity, and equipment costs**, enabling informed cost projections.
• Extensive experience in **negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers**, balancing cost efficiency with contractual integrity.
• Proficiency in **Microsoft Excel** and familiarity with **estimation and tendering software**, with an ability to leverage technology for enhanced accuracy.
• Strong **analytical and negotiation skills**, coupled with a strategic mindset to drive profitable outcomes.
• Excellent command of **written and spoken English**, facilitating effective communication across diverse stakeholders.
