Key Responsibilities

You will take ownership of the following critical responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership and Architecture: Lead the technical execution of software development initiatives, ensuring alignment with both business and technical requirements. Translate complex business needs into scalable, high-performance technical solutions while designing and refining system architectures—including microservices, distributed systems, and APIs.
• Hands-On Development and Quality Assurance: Maintain a strong presence in coding, developing production-ready software that adheres to the highest engineering standards. Conduct rigorous code reviews to enforce best practices, ensuring consistency, reliability, and maintainability across the codebase.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and other stakeholders to define technical roadmaps, prioritize features, and deliver solutions that meet user and business needs. Facilitate transparent communication to ensure alignment between technical and non-technical teams.
• Mentorship and Team Growth: Empower junior and mid-level engineers by providing technical guidance, fostering professional development, and cultivating a collaborative work environment. Act as a mentor, helping team members grow their skills and contribute effectively to projects.
• Technical Strategy and Roadmap Planning: Drive the technical roadmap by estimating timelines, prioritizing initiatives, and ensuring efficient delivery. Leverage Agile/Scrum methodologies to optimize workflows and continuously improve engineering processes.
• Performance, Scalability, and Security: Address system performance bottlenecks, optimize scalability, and implement robust security measures to safeguard applications. Stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices to enhance system resilience and efficiency.
• Incident Management and Problem-Solving: Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and on-call rotations to ensure minimal downtime and rapid resolution of critical issues. Foster a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Champion the adoption of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes). Drive the use of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools to streamline deployments and enhance operational efficiency.
• Conflict Resolution and Decision-Making: Facilitate constructive technical discussions, resolve conflicts, and make data-driven decisions that advance project goals. Balance hands-on development with strategic leadership to ensure both technical and business objectives are met.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess a robust blend of technical expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for software engineering. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience, with at least 2-3 years in a technical leadership, senior engineering, or team lead capacity.
  • Proven ability to deliver production-grade systems at scale, demonstrating a track record of success in complex, high-impact projects.
  • Experience mentoring or managing a team of engineers (typically 3-8 members), fostering collaboration, and driving technical excellence.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Deep proficiency in at least one primary programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#), with expertise in system design and architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching mechanisms, and advanced data modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) to automate and optimize deployments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security best practices, performance optimization, and distributed system design principles.
  • Experience with version control workflows (Git) and collaborative code review processes to maintain code quality.
• Leadership and Soft Skills:
