As an L2 DevOps Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Application Support (L1/L3), Development, QA, Security, and Infrastructure—to uphold the integrity of our banking systems. Your responsibilities will span proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement, ensuring that our platforms remain secure, compliant, and aligned with the stringent requirements of KSA banking clients.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will demand a blend of technical proficiency and strategic problem-solving. You will:

• Deliver L2 DevOps operational support for banking applications across development, testing, UAT, and production environments, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
• Monitor and optimize system health, infrastructure performance, and application stability, leveraging proactive measures to preempt issues before they impact business operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges in environments, deployments, pipelines, and infrastructure—exceeding L1 support capabilities to maintain operational excellence.
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and platform configurations, driving efficiency and reducing manual intervention in deployment workflows.
• Manage and optimize containerized and cloud-based environments, including Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, and AWS, to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents, contributing to long-term solutions that strengthen system resilience and reduce future disruptions.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to facilitate application deployments, hotfixes, and configuration changes, ensuring alignment between technical and business objectives.
• Enforce compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards applicable to KSA banking environments, mitigating risks and ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive operational documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs), to empower teams and ensure knowledge continuity.
• Participate in on-call and incident response activities, demonstrating accountability and responsiveness during critical system events.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with 5-10 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform, or Infrastructure Support roles.
• Proven expertise in CI/CD tools, including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, with a focus on automating and optimizing deployment pipelines.
• Deep experience with OpenShift, enabling you to manage and scale containerized applications efficiently.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems and scripting (Bash, PowerShell), with the ability to write and maintain scripts for automation and troubleshooting.
• Strong familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, to deploy and manage scalable, resilient applications.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure and AWS, to support hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• A solid understanding of ITIL-based operations, including incident and problem management frameworks, to ensure structured and effective issue resolution.
• Experience supporting production systems with high availability and strict SLAs, demonstrating your ability to handle critical workloads under pressure.
• Exceptional troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, enabling you to work seamlessly across teams and resolve complex challenges with clarity and efficiency.
