As a **Senior System Engineer**, you will take ownership of our identity and messaging ecosystem, including Active Directory (AD), Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), ADFS, Exchange, and DNS. Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of technical leadership and operational excellence:

• Active Directory Administration & Optimization: Oversee the design, configuration, and maintenance of Active Directory, including Organizational Units (OUs), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), replication, and site topology. Ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability to support our evolving business needs.
• Identity & Authentication Management: Manage and troubleshoot ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) for federated authentication and Single Sign-On (SSO), while overseeing Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) for conditional access, hybrid identity solutions, and seamless integration with Entra Connect.
• Exchange & Messaging Infrastructure: Administer both on-premises Exchange Server and Exchange Online environments, including mailbox management, mail flow configuration, transport rules, and distribution groups. Ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance email services for all stakeholders.
• DNS Administration & Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot internal and external DNS infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, resolution, and performance across our network.
• Security & Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the health, performance, and security of our identity and messaging systems. Implement proactive measures to mitigate risks, detect vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
• Upgrades, Migrations, and Patching: Plan, execute, and oversee upgrades, migrations, and patching strategies for AD, ADFS, Exchange, and related systems. Minimize downtime and ensure a smooth transition during critical infrastructure changes.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex authentication, identity, and connectivity issues with precision and efficiency. Collaborate with security, network, and helpdesk teams to provide timely resolutions and improve system resilience.
• Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases. Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce recurring issues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with security, networking, and helpdesk teams to align identity and messaging solutions with broader IT initiatives. Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability and incident response readiness.

Qualifications & Experience

We are seeking a **Senior System Engineer** with a proven track record of excellence in identity and messaging infrastructure. Your qualifications should include:

• 8+ Years of Experience: A robust background in systems engineering or infrastructure administration, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Microsoft Certification: Hold the **Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator** credential, demonstrating your expertise in cloud and identity solutions.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Deep hands-on experience with **Active Directory**, including advanced configurations such as OU structures, GPOs, replication, and site topology.
• Expertise in **ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services)**, including claims rules, trust configurations, and federated authentication.
• Proficient in **Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)** and hybrid identity solutions, with experience in conditional access policies and Entra Connect.
• Strong knowledge of **Exchange Server and Exchange Online**, covering mailbox management, mail flow, transport rules, and distribution groups.
• Comprehensive understanding of **DNS administration**, including internal and external configurations, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Advanced **Windows Server administration** skills, with proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
• Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: A keen ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, with a methodical approach to root cause analysis.
