We are seeking a seasoned Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of a sophisticated, multi-tenant platform that integrates cutting-edge technology with enterprise-grade reliability. This role demands a deep expertise in full-stack development, AI integration, and regulatory compliance, ensuring seamless functionality across backend services, APIs, and client interfaces while maintaining the highest standards of security, performance, and user experience.

In this pivotal position, you will drive the technical vision for a platform built on Rails 8 and GraphQL on the server, paired with Next.js 16 and React 19 on the client side. Your work will span complex domains such as patent lifecycle management, trademark renewals, and multi-jurisdictional compliance, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a robust understanding of data modeling, access control, and system integration.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Backend Architecture and Development: Design and implement scalable backend services using Rails 8 and PostgreSQL, ensuring high performance, security, and compliance with regulatory standards. Develop and optimize a GraphQL API that serves as the backbone of the platform, handling complex queries and mutations efficiently.
• Frontend Innovation: Build intuitive and high-performance user interfaces using Next.js 16 and React 19, leveraging server components and Apollo Client for seamless data management. Ensure a consistent, type-safe experience through GraphQL schema generation and TypeScript integration.
• AI-Driven Features: Architect and deploy AI-powered functionalities, including agentic services, document analysis, and real-time chat interfaces, while implementing rigorous evaluation and guardrails to maintain output quality, accuracy, and security.
• Multi-Tenancy and Security: Implement robust row-level multi-tenancy and role-based access control (RBAC), ensuring data isolation and granular permissions across the entire stack. Enforce enterprise-grade security measures, including SSO (SAML/OIDC), MFA, encryption, and secure SDLC practices, aligned with NCA controls and PDPL compliance.
• Integration and Scalability: Own integrations with external systems such as patent office APIs, registry services, billing platforms, and document pipelines. Ensure seamless interoperability while maintaining system reliability and scalability.
• Bilingual and Localization: Develop and maintain a fully bilingual interface supporting English and Arabic, including right-to-left (RTL) layout compatibility. Adhere to a shared design system to ensure consistency and accessibility across all user flows.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and enhance system performance, reliability, and security, leveraging AI-assisted tools like Claude Code while establishing guardrails for automated testing, security checks, and code reviews to balance speed with correctness.
• Technical Leadership: Set and enforce engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to align technical decisions with business objectives.
• Regulatory and Compliance Expertise: Ensure all development adheres to regulatory requirements, including data protection, availability targets, and stakeholder communication protocols.

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• 8+ Years of Experience: A proven track record of delivering large-scale, production-grade software for enterprise or government platforms, with expertise in high-volume data systems and complex integration surfaces.
• Full-Stack Proficiency: Deep ownership of features spanning the entire stack—from database design to API development and frontend rendering. Strong expertise in at least one side of the stack, with active engagement in the other.
• Backend Mastery: Advanced skills in Ruby on Rails (preferred), PostgreSQL relational database design, and background job processing (e.g., Solid Queue or Sidekiq).
• Frontend Expertise: Production-level experience with React and TypeScript, with a preference for Next.js App Router and server components. Proficiency in GraphQL on both server and client sides, including schema design, resolver optimization, and typed client consumption (e.g., Apollo Client).
• Enterprise SaaS Delivery: Hands-on experience building multi-tenant SaaS solutions with a focus on availability, performance, and regulatory compliance. Comfortable managing large, multi-stakeholder projects with clear communication and delivery accountability.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: A disciplined approach to writing comprehensive tests (unit, request, and end-to-end) and treating a failing build as a critical stop-work condition.
• AI and Automation: Fluency in AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) and a thoughtful approach to implementing guardrails that prevent shortcuts from compromising quality, security, or correctness.
• Startup Agility: Experience thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments where adaptability, self-management, and the ability to deliver on tight deadlines are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing LLM-backed product features, particularly those requiring output evaluation and guardrails.
• Proven ability to build bilingual or RTL interfaces, ensuring seamless user experiences across languages and cultural contexts.
• Prior work in government or regulated environments, with an understanding of compliance-driven development.
• Domain knowledge in IP or legal technology, particularly in patent, trademark, or renewal systems.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud and containerized deployments, enabling scalable and resilient infrastructure.
• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English, with the ability to contribute to both technical and non-technical documentation.
