Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to target and secure government contracts, ensuring alignment with Marriott International’s corporate objectives and revenue targets.
• Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key government stakeholders, including ministries, agencies, and public sector entities, to identify opportunities and drive contract renewals.
• Proposal Development: Lead the creation of compelling, compliant, and competitive proposals, bids, and presentations tailored to government procurement requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Market Intelligence: Conduct thorough research and analysis of government procurement trends, policies, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making and identify emerging opportunities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless execution of government contracts and alignment with organizational goals.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance, contract milestones, and revenue growth, providing actionable insights to senior leadership to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.
• Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all sales activities and government interactions adhere to Marriott International’s ethical standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and transparency.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in government sales, business development, or a related field within the hospitality or service industry. A proven track record of securing and managing government contracts, along with a deep understanding of public sector procurement processes, is essential. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline, with a preference for candidates holding an advanced degree or relevant certifications.

Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills are critical, as the role requires the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from frontline procurement officers to senior government officials. Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and government procurement platforms is highly desirable. Fluency in both English and Arabic is required, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
