Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Back End Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical foundation of our products. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing Scalable Backend Services: Design, build, and maintain robust backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS to ensure high availability and performance.
• Database Design and Optimization: Architect and optimize PostgreSQL databases for efficiency, reliability, and scalability, ensuring seamless data management and retrieval.
• REST API Development: Create production-grade RESTful APIs with meticulous attention to versioning, input validation, and security best practices to support seamless client-server interactions.
• Caching and Performance Solutions: Implement Redis-based solutions for caching, rate limiting, and real-time messaging to enhance system responsiveness and user experience.
• Security and Access Control: Develop and maintain secure authentication, authorization, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) systems to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Third-Party Integrations: Seamlessly integrate external APIs, webhooks, and payment providers to expand the functionality and reach of our platforms.
• Code Quality and Collaboration: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while actively participating in code reviews and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to ensure the reliability and performance of our backend systems.

Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in backend development, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience using Node.js and TypeScript in production environments.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Profound knowledge of NestJS framework.
  • Advanced understanding of PostgreSQL, including database design, optimization, transactions, and migrations.
  • Hands-on experience with Redis for caching, rate limiting, and messaging.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Docker Compose for containerization and deployment.
  • Strong grasp of authentication, authorization, and permission systems.
• Integration Skills: Proven experience integrating external APIs, webhooks, and payment services into backend systems.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills to resolve technical challenges efficiently.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git workflows, including branching strategies, code reviews, and collaborative development.
• Soft Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate technical concepts clearly, and adapt to evolving project requirements.

Preferred Skills and Experience

While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will set you apart:

• Go (Golang): Experience with Go programming language for backend development.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with GitHub Actions and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Web Server Configuration: Knowledge of Nginx configuration and deployment environments.
• Background Job Processing: Experience with BullMQ or similar systems for handling asynchronous tasks.
• Event-Driven Architectures: Understanding of event-driven systems and their implementation.
• Payment Systems: Experience with payment gateways and ensuring webhook reliability.
• Monitoring and Observability: Proficiency with tools like Sentry and Datadog for monitoring and observability.
• Industry Experience: Background in developing SaaS, Marketplace, Field Service, or Operations-focused platforms.
