Power BI Developer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team at Consertus, based in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust business intelligence solutions using Power BI. Your expertise will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data visualization, business intelligence, and analytics, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Power BI Development: Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support business operations and strategic initiatives. Ensure that reports are optimized for performance, usability, and scalability.
• Data Integration & Transformation: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, including SQL databases, Excel, and cloud-based platforms, using Power Query and other ETL tools. Clean and prepare data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models in Power BI, including relationships, measures, and calculated columns, to enable efficient data analysis and reporting. Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
• Report Automation & Deployment: Automate report generation and distribution using Power BI Service, Power Automate, and other scheduling tools. Ensure seamless deployment of reports to end-users with appropriate security and access controls.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs. Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and best practices.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, including query optimization, data refresh scheduling, and resource management. Identify and resolve issues to ensure smooth operation.
• Documentation & Governance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, reports, and processes. Ensure compliance with data governance policies and industry standards to protect sensitive information.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Mobile. Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Power Query, and SQL. Familiarity with data visualization best practices and tools such as Tableau or Qlik is beneficial.
• Data Integration Skills: Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and integrating data from multiple sources, including APIs, databases, and flat files.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and liaise with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data accuracy, report design, and documentation to ensure reliability and usability of deliverables.
