Position Overview

We are partnering with a globally recognized pharmaceutical company to identify a highly skilled and motivated Medical Advisor – Oncology to join their dynamic team based in Riyadh. This pivotal role is designed for a medical professional with a strong background in oncology and a passion for advancing patient care through scientific excellence and strategic medical engagement. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between the company, healthcare professionals, and key opinion leaders, ensuring the dissemination of accurate medical information while supporting the company’s strategic objectives in the Saudi market.

Key Responsibilities

The Medical Advisor will play a critical role in driving medical and scientific initiatives within the oncology therapeutic area. The primary responsibilities include:

• Scientific and Medical Expertise: Develop and maintain deep scientific and medical expertise in oncology, ensuring alignment with global and local therapeutic guidelines and emerging scientific trends.
• Medical Engagement and Exchange: Facilitate meaningful scientific engagement and exchange by responding to medical inquiries, providing clinical presentations, and delivering evidence-based medical information to healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
• Patient and Product Support: Provide medical support for patients and formulary access products in compliance with global and local policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and product utilization.
• Medical Strategy and Activities: Support the development, implementation, and completion of medical activities, including investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and observational studies, in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and relevant medical organizations to foster collaboration and drive medical initiatives forward.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a medical expert to support Marketing, Sales, and Regulatory departments in addressing scientific and medical inquiries, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory compliance.
• Internal Training and Development: Act as a resource for internal medical and sales training, providing expertise to enhance the scientific knowledge and capabilities of the team.
• Conference and Meeting Participation: Attend relevant scientific meetings, conferences, and symposiums to stay abreast of the latest developments in oncology, and support the development of summaries, presentations, and educational materials based on key data and insights.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A medical degree (MD), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), or a relevant life-science qualification from an accredited institution.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record in oncology medical affairs.
• Therapeutic Expertise: A strong understanding of oncology therapeutic areas and the Saudi healthcare landscape, including regulatory frameworks, treatment protocols, and market dynamics.
• Communication Skills: Excellent scientific communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with external experts, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive collaboration and achieve shared objectives.
• Regulatory Compliance: A thorough understanding of global and local regulatory requirements, including adherence to company SOPs and ethical guidelines in clinical research and medical activities.
