Reef Holding is seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer to uphold the highest standards of quality across our premium fragrance and cosmetics product lines. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring product excellence through rigorous testing, compliance with regulatory frameworks, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering safe, high-performance products that meet both regulatory requirements and consumer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer at Reef Holding, your core responsibilities will include:

• Quality Process Leadership: Spearhead quality assurance and quality control initiatives across all fragrance and cosmetic product categories to ensure consistency and adherence to global standards.
• Comprehensive Testing & Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections and testing of raw materials, packaging components, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local, GCC, and international cosmetic regulations, including but not limited to ISO 9001 and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Stay abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes to mitigate compliance risks.
• Manufacturing Oversight: Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes to maintain consistency, minimize defects, and enhance product performance throughout production cycles.
• Stability & Performance Testing: Oversee product stability testing, performance evaluations, and quality documentation to validate product integrity and shelf-life under various conditions.
• Issue Resolution & Corrective Actions: Investigate product non-conformities, customer complaints, and deviations to identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product development, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to integrate quality standards into every stage of the product lifecycle, from concept to market release.
• Supplier & Factory Audits: Conduct supplier quality evaluations, factory inspections, and audits to ensure external partners meet Reef Holding’s stringent quality benchmarks.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality records, regulatory documentation, and compliance reports to support internal audits and external inspections.
• Travel & Site Visits: Undertake regular travel to manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and retail branches within and outside Riyadh to oversee operations, conduct audits, and address quality-related concerns.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in quality assurance or quality control within the perfumes, cosmetics, or personal care manufacturing sectors.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of ISO 9001, GMP standards, and GCC and international regulatory requirements governing cosmetics and fragrances.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with quality management systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365, and familiarity with inspection and audit methodologies (Lead Auditor certification is advantageous).
• Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in both Arabic and English, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong aptitude for data analysis, root cause identification, and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance product quality.
• Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel frequently as needed to support operational and quality assurance objectives.
