Role Overview
As a Technology Support Service Engineer at Linklaters, you will serve as the first point of contact for end users, delivering expert technical assistance to resolve hardware, software, and application-related issues. Your role is pivotal in maintaining operational efficiency by diagnosing and troubleshooting technical problems, managing service requests, and ensuring seamless collaboration with system owners and senior team members. Key Responsibilities
- Technical Assistance and Troubleshooting: Provide comprehensive support to end users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, desktop, and application-related issues. This includes account setup, network configuration, and first-level technical support for common problems.
- Ticket Management: Handle incoming service requests and incident tickets with precision, ensuring accurate logging, timely updates, and proper routing. Focus on achieving first-call resolution while maintaining detailed documentation to track progress and outcomes.
- Collaboration and Escalation: Work closely with system owners and senior Technology & Data team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure end users receive the highest level of support.
- Hardware and Software Setup: Assist with the configuration and setup of new hardware and software for end users, ensuring systems are operational and ready for immediate use. This includes verifying compatibility, installing updates, and conducting basic system checks.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Generate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor service quality, operational performance, and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). Use these insights to identify trends, recommend improvements, and enhance support processes.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of all service requests, incidents, and resolutions in the ticketing system. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations while providing transparent updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in an IT support role, with a strong foundation in troubleshooting hardware, software, and desktop applications. Familiarity with account setup, network configuration, and system diagnostics is essential.
- Ticketing System Expertise: Proven ability to manage ticketing systems, including logging, tracking, and ensuring timely resolution of service requests. Attention to detail is critical for maintaining accurate documentation and achieving first-call resolution.
