About the Role
As a Compliance Manager at Hungerstation, a leading entity within the Delivery Hero Group—the world’s pioneering local delivery platform—you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization’s ethical integrity and regulatory adherence. This position is ideal for a seasoned compliance professional seeking to drive impactful initiatives while ensuring the company operates within the bounds of evolving laws, regulations, and industry standards. Reporting to the VP of Legal Affairs & GRC, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a robust corporate compliance program, fostering a culture of accountability and transparency across all business functions.
Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic and high-impact role, your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of compliance functions, including:
- Program Strategy and Administration:
- Compliance Program Leadership: Spearhead the design, implementation, and scaling of the corporate compliance program, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory expectations.
- Governance & Ethics: Analyze regulatory trends and draft insightful reports to advise senior leadership on best practices, ethical standards, and emerging legal requirements.
- Process Optimization: Conduct comprehensive assessments of compliance policies, processes, and systems to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and reduce risk exposure.
- Monitoring, Audits, and Compliance Management:
- Regulatory Intelligence & Reporting: Proactively monitor and interpret changes in laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards to ensure the organization remains ahead of compliance risks.
- Corrective Action Management: Collaborate with department heads to develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans, ensuring timely resolution of compliance gaps and mitigation of potential risks.
- Third-Party Compliance Management (TPRM): Oversee the entire lifecycle of third-party compliance, including due diligence, vendor audits, and risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization from partner-associated liabilities.
- Systems & Product Compliance: Lead compliance assessments for internal policies, product offerings, services, and IT systems, ensuring robust documentation and validation of controls.
- Policy, Training, and Communication:
- Policy Architecture & Maintenance: Develop, revise, and manage the lifecycle of company-wide compliance policies and procedures, ensuring version control, accessibility, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Training & Awareness Programs: Design and deliver mandatory compliance training programs to cultivate a culture of ethical awareness and regulatory literacy across all business units.
- Strategic Stakeholder Communication: Formulate and execute internal communication strategies to ensure stakeholders are informed of policy updates, regulatory changes, and compliance expectations.
- Investigations and Regulatory Engagement:
- Whistleblower & Ethics Hotline Oversight: Manage the ethics and whistleblower program, ensuring secure data handling, case tracking, and coordination of initial assessments to uphold organizational integrity.
- Compliance Investigations: Lead sensitive internal investigations into potential policy or regulatory violations, including evidence gathering, interviews, analysis, and the preparation of comprehensive investigative reports.
- Regulatory Liaison & Coordination: Direct the preparation of formal documentation and coordinate cross-functional inputs to ensure accurate and timely responses to regulatory inquiries and mandatory filings.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in corporate compliance, compliance risk management, internal audit, or legal operations, with a proven track record of leading compliance initiatives in a dynamic environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CCEP, CRCM, or equivalent) is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing compliance frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and managing regulatory engagements.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive organizational change.
- Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
