Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Strategic Financial Leadership Role in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for steering the organization’s financial strategy, ensuring robust governance, and driving sustainable growth and profitability. About the Role

As the CFO, you will play a central role in shaping the company’s long-term financial trajectory by collaborating closely with the CEO and Executive Committee. Your responsibilities will span financial planning, capital optimization, risk management, and compliance, while also fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence within the finance function. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking executive with a proven track record in financial leadership, preferably within sectors such as retail, real estate, financial services, or diversified business structures.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Financial Planning

• Partner with the CEO and Executive Committee to develop and execute the organization’s long-term strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and growth targets.
• Provide financial insight and recommendations to support critical business decisions, including investments, mergers and acquisitions, and expansion initiatives.
• Lead enterprise-wide financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring, to drive sustainable profitability.

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, treasury operations, taxation, and internal controls.
• Ensure the timely preparation and presentation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and regulatory standards.
• Monitor financial performance against approved budgets and strategic plans, identifying risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Treasury & Capital Management

• Optimize the organization’s capital structure and liquidity position to support business objectives and growth initiatives.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, auditors, and regulatory authorities to secure funding and ensure compliance.
• Lead funding initiatives and evaluate financing alternatives to align with the company’s strategic vision.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Establish and maintain robust internal control frameworks and financial governance practices to safeguard the organization’s assets.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, statutory requirements, and accounting standards.
• Identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to protect the organization’s financial health.

Business Partnership & Operational Excellence

• Collaborate closely with business leaders to enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and financial discipline across the organization.
• Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and transformation projects.
• Drive a culture of accountability by implementing meaningful performance metrics and fostering financial transparency.

Leadership & Talent Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence.
• Build organizational capability to support future growth, transformation, and the evolving needs of the business.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• MBA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior executive finance leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience within retail, real estate, financial services, or diversified group structures is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in financial planning and analysis, treasury management, strategic finance, and business transformation.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate governance practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience leading external audits, banking relationships, and complex financial projects.
