Supply Chain Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our hospital’s procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the seamless availability of critical medical and non-medical supplies while driving operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director, you will play a key part in shaping supply chain strategies that enhance service quality and support the hospital’s mission of delivering exceptional patient care.

Core Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the following key functions:

• Procurement & Inventory Management: Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and purchasing to inventory control, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to meet operational demands without excess or shortages.
• Warehousing & Distribution: Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies, to guarantee timely and accurate delivery to all departments within the hospital.
• Strategic Supply Chain Development: Develop and implement innovative supply chain strategies that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality across the organization.
• Performance Monitoring & KPI Management: Track and analyze key supply chain performance indicators, including inventory turnover, supplier performance, lead times, and procurement cycle times, to identify areas for improvement and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Supplier & Vendor Relations: Lead negotiations with suppliers, manage contracts, and cultivate strong vendor relationships to secure high-quality goods and services at competitive prices while ensuring adherence to delivery timelines.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with hospital policies, procurement procedures, industry regulations, and quality standards, including those set by governing bodies such as the FDA, CMS, and OSHA.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a closely related field is required.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of five years of progressive experience in supply chain management, procurement, inventory control, logistics, or a related discipline, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
• Industry-Specific Knowledge: Prior experience within the healthcare or hospital sector is essential, as it ensures familiarity with the unique challenges and regulatory requirements of medical supply chain operations.
• Technical & Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, proficiency in supply chain management software, and exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills are critical to driving operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
